An awesome and relaxing simulator that looks and performs beyond my expectations on Linux.

The modding community is great, and there's plenty of add-ons for the game. The default FMC is a little ridiculous during VNAV climb/descent, but there are FMC add-ons that can replace it. The default GPSes work great too. You'll have to find and supply your own AIRAC cycles for up to date navigation data, as the game does not update to the latest.

Coming from FSX, the skies are much more beautiful, especially around dusk/dawn (baring the occasional graphical shading glitch). Unlike FSX, turbulence feels much more jarring, and crosswind landings much more challenging. No builtin shared cockpit is a bit of a bummer though. Like FSX, there's an option to fly with real world weather, and in this game it feels more accurate.

I'd definitely recommend using something besides a mouse as a yoke. An xbox controller is sufficient for me, and you can map every button/trigger/stick to your liking.

Specs: Xubuntu 16.04, FX-6300, GTX 1060 3GB w/ nvidia-410 driver, 16GB DDR3 - gets me 40-60 FPS in flight at medium settings, and very smoothly. Used between 5GB and 12GB of RAM, depending on what continent you're on.

edit: This is a CPU intensive game. Seems to perform best with a CPU with strong single-thread performance.

Chivalry is a fun game with a huge but satisfying learning curve. The swordplay is fast and exciting, making the game feel like a throwback from the days of fast-paced competitive arena shooters.

Great way to relax and stab a bunch of people. I've only played on AU servers. The community is plenty friendly and alive, and I have no trouble finding a populated server every evening. I have never played on EU or US servers.

Newcomers beware - this game is competitive, and there is no matchmaking system. You will constantly be up against experienced players, and it will take time and effort before you are even comparable.

It is what it says on the tin: Simply Chess. Do you want to play Chess against your friends? Then you can do exactly that perfectly fine! The 3D boards are nice, the 2D board is great. I don't know about anyone else, but I have seen no advertisements (possibly a linux thing?).

The game does crash randomly, however async multiplayer seems to mitigate that.

My only real annoyance is that sending your moves takes waaaay too long. After making a move, the opponent wont see it for ~3 seconds.

That's it though. Literally just Chess. Great game to play with a friend!

Early Access Review
Incredibly addicting fast paced racing game with a *huge* learning curve of tricks, jumps, and routes, with a colorful cast of characters. One of the few games capable of replacing my adrenalin addiction with natural adrenalin.

Best played with a group of friends who are at the same skill level, but has a small but friendly online community and matchmaking system for when your friends rage-quit (expect to run into the same 8-10 people over several weeks).

Easily the most fun I've ever had in the multiplayer game, and no matter how good you get, there's always someone better.

Better yet, it runs great on Linux with Wine.
