Loads like a 1999 webpage. AI-level dialogue cringe. Game bugs so bad it literally BSOD'd my machine. No option for offline play. Yet the meat of the gameplay is the classic Skate you love plus more. I want to like it but it's painful.

I loved the original and this is just as good as I remember. But the trials of providence are awful. Don't gate progression behind annoying minigames plz. I refuse.

Most underrated game award. All time great RPG, especially after all the updates and DLC expansion.

The game is fun, I actually really enjoy it as a fan of other Arkane titles, but when it crashes at the end of an unsaveable hour and a half run 4 times now over 3 patches, I gotta move on for my own sanity. Plus there's all the optimization issues. Framerate doesn't matter, still get screen tearing, texture flickering, and stuttering (though the optimization is better since the recent patch, it's still pretty bad.) It's a shame. I loved the writing and the loop mechanic hooks me. I wish they'd at least have some kind of autosave system during runs.

If you're a fan of Hotline Miami or Ruiner, you definitely need to check out My Friend Pedro. It follows a similar gameplay formula of twitch-based frantic shoot-em-up, amazing soundtrack that pushes you forward, and frequent chances to die, reload, and come back more ready than the last time. The major twist here though is fighting with flipping, tricking style. You'll want to revisit levels again to try to up your last score and come up with new ways to feel like a badass. While not as well-rounded as Hotline Miami in both gameplay and story, it's still super memorable and fun to play. I found myself chuckling, mouth open in awe, and really wanting to hit that share button when I hit S-rank.
