Censoring the game that used to be praised as one of the few ones that don't half-ass the stories they want to tell is a strange direction to take.

If you want to make a statement about the current sociopolitical state of the world, you cannot take shortcuts, you cannot censor it, you cannot lessen the impact to make your piece of media more "approachable". Because it ceases to be a statement, it now becomes just a video game where you shoot criminals.

Why on Earth does this Steam game need its own launcher? Why on Earth are the download speeds of this launcher so horrible? Why on Earth do I have to wait in a LITERAL QUEUE TO LAUNCH THE GAME?

Also, "[151] Something went wrong."

I honest to God prefer this game over Fallout 2. I think it's because there is more action and less talking.

Lord, in Fallout 2 there is just SO. MUCH. TALKING.

But here, nah, it's all good. Just make sure to download Fallout Fixt.

After an hour of playing (and up to that point having collected literally a thousand bullets) I have encountered a SINGLE enemy that had a gun and could use it against me. Not like he did, because I immediately one tapped him.

I did, however, encounter many, many puzzles. Don't get me wrong, puzzles are cool and all, but they only work when they're used to mix things around, make the gameplay more varied. Here it was like, 5 puzzles, a single enemy with a gun, 3 more puzzles.

Please, PLEASE just let me shoot stuff, like holy smokes when do the puzzles end and the cool stuff begins?

I am not really the type of guy to write a lot of reviews, but ever since the Dungeons update dropped I felt like it would be unfair not to tell everybody about how great this game is. It is THE best sword fighting game on VR, period. It was the best even when there were no dungeons, but now that there are, the developers just improved on perfection.
If you like swords and VR, there is absolutely NO reason not to buy this gem. Literally none.

I see this game as part of the Holy Trinity of VR Games, as in "games that you absolutely need to own if you own a VR kit". The other two being H3VR and, unsurprisingly, Alyx. Pavlov is, without a doubt, THE best VR online shooter out there, and with its immense modding capabilities and a huge fanbase, it's unlikely that it will be dethroned any time soon.

Something's off in this game. I find it hard to explain, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is just something about this game that makes it much worse to play than the original, Source engine-based Insurgency. It feels clunky to move around and shoot, it's surprisinly unoptimised for such an average-looking game, there are barely any of the classic maps which we all used to love so much, and, of course, there are paid cosmetics. Technically they don't harm the gameplay directly, but I'll never enjoy a game that tries to be somewhat realistic while allowing people to look nothing like actual soldiers (I'm looking at you, BFV and CoD:MW).
Oh and also there is no workshop implementation, which was a major selling point of the previous game, at least for me. Being able to run around with custom weapon models and sound effects was just so much fun! And now it's gone.

I firmly believe that every single thing that could be said about this spectacular game has already been said. Let's be honest, you are only here to look for some funny or meme-y reviews. And if, by some miracle, you are genuinly curious whether this game is worth the pennies you can buy it for, let's just say that Portal 2 should be a human right, in possesion of every single ♥♥♥♥ sapiens.

An absolute masterpiece that everybody with a VR headset needs to play, and if you don't own one... well, you can be like me and buy a Valve Index just to play this piece of art. I certainly regret nothing.
