Even the Mona Lisa has cracks...

Given where CP2077 was at launch, this is a totally different level of quality. Now that the bugs and performance issues are addressed, the masterpiece underneath can shine through. This is an amazing game, filled with memorable companions, great stories and epic combat.

It's not perfect, but what game is? CP2077 is brilliant, memorable and infinitely replayable. The game's main issue is subtlety: there are a surprisingly diverse amount of ways to impact the outcomes and results of your quest, however these lack the primitive flashing neon signs that games like Mass Effect had, and so a lot of the variation is only obvious if you play the game multiple times and really try doing things differently.

All that being said, the state the game arrived in is hard to forgive, so I think that you should buy this game, but only when it's on sale.

It's not often I get to say this: I loved this game.

Technically excellent, amazing to look at, fluid movement, great climbing mechanics (even if hand-holds are hard to see sometimes).

A great lead actor, voicing two of the most best characters in gaming history. What an achievement!

Give yourself a gift and buy yourself this game!

Early Access Review
Satisfactory is one of the most impressive gaming achievements I have ever experienced, but it won't be for everyone (what game is?). It's gorgeous, runs like a dream and has a dedicated server. The game also runs wonderfully on Linux thanks to fantastic Proton support. Ultra-widescreen resolutions are also supported.

Never before have I seen a game with this large an 'active' area. The entire map gets ticked all the time, meaning that you can dream BIG. For the hardcore redstone Minecrafter this is the final evolution.

Integrate with or build over the natural features, create ornate factories in the sky or in the deepest pits, build roads, sky paths or snake train lines through long cave systems... There are always many ways to get the job done!

This game is limited only by your imagination and drive to get "just one more" percent of efficiency... Attention to detail, an organised mind and preparedness are all rewarded. If you're planning your factory with a spreadsheet you're starting to get the right idea :)

I love this game, and despite it's early access status I can heartily recommend it: if you're going to buy this game, buy it now... This game is going to grow and evolve like Minecraft has, and the modding scene is only going to grow with it. There is so much to learn it's worth getting the game now to learn it, while planning to restart after the full release. This game takes hundreds of hours to reach the end game... There is always something else to do, even if it's tinkering with player launchers or other bizarre machines.

Early Access Review
Well, it's out of Early Access and is it worth playing? Yes!

Every person that buys this game is a clear sign to the industry that there is a market for adult, sophisticated, well polished product. If you love RPGs and you don't get this game you are doing yourself a disservice.

It's not perfect... some of the last minute changes to races have had some unintended consequences for balance and race and class choices. Tactician Mode is punishing and railroads you into certain builds. But all that aside, the graphics are gorgeous, the voice acting is excellent and the game runs like a dream.

All in all this is a great game. It's brilliant to see a game exceed the hype rather than fail to live up to expectations.

If you are on the fence about this game, get off it: it's mature, it's fun, it's nuanced and it's a vote for more of all that and more... what's not to love?

SUPER!

This game... it is both exactly what it says on the tin and totally unexpected.

HOT!

Flawless widescreen support. One touch operation on Linux.

SUPER!

Portal but not. Simple and complex, familiar but alien. A bit of John Wick, a bit of the Matrix. It's the Gun Fu Creation Kit!

HOT!

Not without its flaws, but this is a really fun game.

Works great on Linux with the Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST

Flawless widescreen support. 3440x1440 was a little much for my Vega 64, but the resolution scaling sorted that out.

A great game and a brilliant Linux port.

RotTR is proving to be another slick, well presented game from a studio with great attention to detail.

It's not perfect, and there are a few things that AC3 and AC4 do better in the climbing department, but in general this is a great experience, and certainly worth the price when it's on sale.

It's also a worthy successor to TR2013.

Issuing CD keys again.

Works on Linux with Proton and minor fixes. Check out ProtonDB.

It's 2022, and is AC:B still fun to play? Hell yes...

It feels good to finally be able to fix this review. For a long time I have had to give it a negative rating because it just didn't work... not because the game was broken, but because Ubisoft weren't issuing keys.

Well, that's now fixed, so I can once again head to Rome at the end of the 1400's and relive this game... and what a game it is.

I can't recommend this enough. The AC story is brilliant, and Ezio's part in that tale is the best. AC4 might have a better engine, and tooling around pirating for the lulz is great, but Ezio is the hero we needed.

The story is surprisingly deep, and Ezio's growth is truly well done. What was teased in AC2 is realised in AC:B (and perfected in AC:Revelations).

Ezio becomes an adult, cleaning up and putting aside the messy parts of his early life and growing into the mentor the Assassins have needed for so long, and paving the way for him to finally complete his task in Revelations.

This is the series' Empire Strikes Back. It's not perfect, but what is? There are cheesy parts, and jokes that miss, but thee is so much fun to be had. There is easily 40 hours of good quality content here. There are climbing puzzles, underground labyrinths to explore, races to run, and a pile of challenges to pursue. Or you can just run around Rome causing mayhem.

Give yourself the best Christmas present you can get and buy the Ezio Trilogy and binge it this holiday season. You get to see Ezio's tragic start, triumphant middle and happy end. If you can only do two, skip AC2: while the story is amazing the engine is very dated and combat flows the least well and offers the least challenge. Revelations has all the benefit of lessons learned in the first two games, plus has a satisfying end to Ezio's rather epic tale.
