I would recommend Brukel to anyone and everyone - regardless of WWII interest. To me, it's an incredibly important game - it's the closest we can get to understanding how it felt to be in the midst of World War II.

I don't want to go on too much about how much of an impact it had on me, I did a whole post about it - https://positivegamingattitude.com/brukel/ - but it's a game everyone should try. Might be a little difficult for those who can't handle horror very well, but worth trying anyway.

It's one of those games that make you sit back after, and just go 'wow'.

I found this game completely by accident - between the art style and all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a go. I'm so glad that I did, the game is so charming and heartwarming. The characters are really well done; the game is relatively short, but I still cared for all the characters. There's enough of a management puzzle in there to make it more than a visual novel, which I personally appreciated.

There's just something about this game that compelled me to actually write something about it before jumping back in to the new game+. I think the dev made it with love, and that shows.
