There isn't much to say about this game. The writing is questionable. The environments aren't varied enough.

There are a couple cool concepts, but they are explored elsewhere in better depth, and with better gameplay.

The puzzles are on the easier side and largely uninspired. I blazed through all but a handful of them.

I read in a postmortem after I finished the game that the game was designed and produced in a way to maximize profit. They succeeded with a 7/10 review score and a healthy amount of sales. Good for them, I guess? But it shows in the art. Feels like a cynical waste of effort, imo.

Still feels like an early access game despite being in full release. Controls are fiddly and overly complicated. Balance is all over the place. Progression is a tedious grind that will bore you to death before you reap any enjoyment from it.

I really want to like the game, it's so many things I want to see in a simulation like this, but it just isn't there.

Absurdist, often gallows, geek humor. It is more of an "interactive experience" than a game, with all player actions being fetch quests or experimentation with the various random objects you're given. Each level is much larger than it needs to be and is full of weird little things to discover. It's short, which is good, because it's the kind of thing that would quickly overstay its welcome. The last mission is a bit flat, but otherwise I'd recommend it for wasting a day being amused by computer puns and non-sequitors.

A mind bogglingly vast expanse of mind boggling samey blandness. It's exciting at first but after you lick the frosting off it's just stale grocery store cake underneath.

Score: 3/5 "meh"s.

No co-op, laggy and clunky UI, recycled SFX from last year. Overall this product is missing everything that made previous DotP products worth playing. The worst part, though, is that there are cards locked behind a premium pay wall. Somehow they think it's OK to change a series that's always been about playing MtG with a limited cardpool and to add a pay-to-win random premium card system. No thanks. This game can't decide if it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ installment of DotP or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ version of Magic Online. I would get a refund if I could.
