I grew up on DOS platformers from Apogee (like Commander Keen and the original Duke Nukem) and this game not only perfectly recaptures the look and sound of those games (right down to the limitations of frame rate, colours and game mechanics), but also perfectly reproduces the sort of gameplay feel and difficulty curve that made those games so endearing. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who didn't play DOS platformers back in the day, but for those who did it's a fantastic nostalgia hit.
