It's not what I'd expect for this price and after additional time that CO could also have spent on developing this DLC.
It seems more like an afterthought and a slap in a face to those who pre-paid for this...

- small amount of buildings - 20 - and variations don't count
- variations that... don't make any visible difference - it would have to be either more props or structural changes to the look of the buildings... and that's the reason why variations don't really count here
- small amount of additional props
- trees... well they were not always given so let's not complain here
- it looks... lifeless, more like an inland city suburbia built anywhere
- and as the name suggests: beach properties are actually the modern day properties system - all the same, lifeless and detached from the city vibe mass production :)

Well... forget any expansion passes next time.

I don't reccomend this game. I am completely disappointed in it. It's got great economy, politics... that would be it. Unmoddable as it's full of bugs and there isn't any tool to change all basic game units (states) at once... States themselves are too massive and hardly ever (if at all) divadable between countries except for modding. No comments on how war is conducted - there was nothing wrong with running army units and running economy and politics at the same time... Could have been mixed together. Technology tree - is great as it is but again, hard to add new techs without messing with the tree. Laws... that is a complete shables - even when you meet no criteria to have a specific law unlocked (discovered), it's used as a default and active.
It's just simply waste of money that the game with such great economy and politics mechanics is so limited and doesn't give much freedom to mod it. Really regret spending money on it.

Few years into it, still awaiting some improvements and the game still has small maps. And it can't handle any user created medium size maps. What's the point of it then? Civ 5 was already not so interesting so now having spend so much money on Civ6 when it came out (and without the map builder back then, it was quietly introduced into the game much later when i already had lost any interest in it) feels like a huge waste of money.
Not recommended any more, maybe Civ 4 but none of those afterwards.
