Given the high reviews I thought this game would be something mind-blowing.

It's just walking back and forth and shooting the same 3 enemies over and over.

Kind of like Borderlands, but worse in every aspect.

Initially this game was the spiritual successor to Battlefield 2 - but with so much more - 256 player maps, destructible buildings, etc. The team play, maps, vehicles, weapons, etc really brought back the mid-2000s gaming vibes.

And then... the devs kept tweaking. Snipers? Too OP - let's make every shot leave a trail. Maps? Let's keep tweaking them over and over.

The game is now really dying - it's gone from dozens of 256 player servers to perhaps 2 during peak times. Within the next couple of months it will likely die since there won't be enough players to support the larger maps. Eventually it'll be down to a few 64 player servers and then finally it will be the end.

Fun, albeit short game. Pretty easy if you turtle every mission. I'm not sure that it's worth $50 -- I got it during a sale for $~6. Probably worth $15-20.

Gets a little repetitive after about 500 hours, but fine otherwise.
