Absolute spot on tribute to Classicvania games and more! You can feel how this is a true passion project from the dank devs as you work your way through the charming yet challenging, well designed levels. This is a sharply paced out action-platformer that deserves your attention - axe is best subweapon!

Very chill game, imagine it as a reverse tower defense. You build the enemy spawners and terrain for passive buffs while your loopy pal loops! It might seem more complicated from the outside looking but it is a cohesive experience. Switching from the planning to action phases at the slap of a space bar is satisfying, the map and equipment management are your goals as the player. Solid little story with surprising amount of depth in the lore (that encyclopedia is some Dark Souls item descriptions level of awesome optional reading!). Highly recommended, had a lot of fun going for all achievements - landed just under 80 hours. Now for some secret challenges though! Highly recommended.

Orange is a healing color! The soundtrack and sound design made me so happy, I could listen to those LFO rate manipulations all day. Chuchel has bewilderment and charm in abundance, great little experience!

First off this game has a killer soundtrack, I don't think that gets enough recognition. Anyways as for the gameplay it is definitely a grind - just scout out some tips from guides and vids plus get familiar with wikis and you'll be on your way to letting it die the way you want to. Uncle Death is rooting you on so don't let him down!!

Overall recommended, a lot more care went into this release compared to others from SE. One of the most whimsical fantasy adventures and stories out there actually got a respectable reboot. I personally really love the added chats at the inns between the party, great dialogue/flavor text that helps a lot with world immersion.

Heads up to all perfectionists and chievo grinders: crashes will be a bit bothersome but don't get discouraged, remember to load from the autosave function! A decent trade off of the original 4 save slots to the now 2 plus auto save load.
