Absolutely worth the initial learning curve. Good enough that I ended up getting all the DLC's, albeit on sale, for the complete feel.

So far, it is unlike anything I have ever played and absolutely loving it. Read up everywhere that Shogun 2 was the best of Total War series and I haven't been disappointed. Looking forward to plenty of hours on this.
