Great game with engaging (albeit easy) combat loop, and fantastic movement. Could use some better sound design, especially during boss fights, and some voice acting would be cool, but overall doesn't hinder the game by too much.

Weapon balancing could be important, as a number of bosses can be defeated quite easily, even with the base weapon. The flamethrower makes fighting bosses even more of a breeze, but I understand I could use less powerful weaponry to increase the difficulty.

Also, the auto-save could be seen as a bit intrusive due to the nature of some of these achievements, but since it appears not too many rely on the late-game, I imagine it wouldn't be to much of a hassle to get them.

Regardless, overall great art direction and design, killer soundtrack, fun movement, and a good story. Could use improvements regarding sound enhancements, mainly during boss fights, as well as some tweaks regarding weapon balance and auto-saving. Would recommend!

Okay, so it starts of nice and slow, with a tinge of challenge to it, and before you know it, you're playing some of the hardest levels in video gaming. A-Side/Main Story is straightforward and gives you a nice bit of challenge at the end. B-Sides give you a little bit more difficulty, but can be done if you've done very well on the A-Side levels. C-Sides are ridiculous, and definitely take some practice, but are also good material for modded levels.

Then there's Farewell, which is harder. Finished it and got Moon Berry, and good god...

I love this game.

My experience could be summed up by my number of hours played. If I'm playing it this much, then that means it's certainly good.

Base game - It certainly is something alright, and is a decent game overall, but not my cup of tea.

DLC - Once again, very similar experience to the base game, but lower for Part One, and about the same for Part Two.

Underrated by a significant margin, and trumps the first game's mechanics by a solid margin. Play this too, darnit!

No one talks about this game, probably because it's a little dated. But with that being said, PLAY THIS.
