Fun 2D troll precision platformer. Lots of different tricks in 16 different chapters, The levels are short enough to not get too frustrating.

An amazing story game. A lot of depth and symbolism to discover through the different non linear timelines the story explores. The story is special and one of a kind, it will leave you emotionally exhausted after the whole ordeal. The gameplay is mostly a walking simulator with a few on rails jumping sequences and one downside to the game is that it's easy to get lost when trying to find things in certain chapters. Another downside is the slow start in the school where it's easy to get lost while the story is still obtuse at this point, but if you manage to get past that, you are in for a wild story.

A warning to anyone playing this game. A sudden power outage will corrupt your save file and that corrupted save file will get uploaded to the Steam Cloud, leaving you with no backups. So it's smart to do periodical manual backups of the file where the game is installed at Gemdiggers\Saves\Profile01\profile.dat. The developer claims he fixed it, but it's still an issue.

They lied to us, it wasn't just a beach episode, instead it was the conclusion for the overarching story in the previous three games. Worth completing to resolve the emotional investment for the main characters.
The ending has a nice touch where both Eva chooses when to say goodbye to Neil and we, the player, choosing when we are ready to move on from the game. And the developer tries to convince us that “The ending isn't more important than the moments leading to it.", but does this kind of ending anyway. Does that make him a hypocrite?

I did my part, I helped. What more could you expect?
Jokes aside, this is a smart game about showing what's it like to help for the sake of feeling good about yourself, but not actually helping.

Simplistic, on rails arcade racing game with lots of explosions. It's pure fun, lots of cool moments, cinematic slowdowns. Controls are simple with accelerate forward, reverse and quite an agile tilt mechanic that allows the car to do flips or position it to land correctly. There is some steering done in some levels, but that's on rails, fully automatic, not done by the player. Any fail during a level, landing upside down, not managing the speed correctly will have you start from the beginning, there are no checkpoints, but the levels are short enough that this isn't a big problem. Level balance isn't linear with some levels feeling easier or harder regardless of their level number. Some levels can be completed by fully accelerating and tilting the car correctly, with all the ramps and explosions leading you to the satisfying finish line. There are stars that provide an additional challenge for completing a level and also a coin currency to buy other cars that are purely cosmetic.

For achievement hunters: Complete all 50 levels.

Cool free online co-op puzzle game. A heavier focus on exploration to figure out what the puzzles are, where the pieces and hints are. The puzzles in comparison to Together in Between are easier. Using V to see a split screen view of what your partner is doing is an awesome addition for this type of game. It's nice that there are no timing based puzzles, only pure puzzle solving, but it does end on a cliffhanger.

I've always joked with my friend that we need to share the same brain cell for co-op games. This game enables us to do exactly that! It's a pretty fun co-op game with a good mix of about 2/3rds puzzles and 1/3rd platforming and It would be cool to see more of this game concept. On their own the puzzles aren't anything special, but it's with the dynamic of one player moving while the other sees hidden things that these puzzles become fun. If nothing else, when you are stuck, you have a partner to run ideas by to have an easier time solving the puzzles. The roles are often switched during gameplay with an option to restart the level with switched roles to not leave one player feel bored. There is some jank with platforming and how it interacts with the boxes. Also the client player not being connected after loading a new level, but a level restart fixes this.

What a beautiful game, in graphics, in gameplay and in story. An adventure 3D platformer about surfing on water that's fun to play. The feeling of freedom when surfing the water is amazing. And if that wasn't enough, there are crazy water slides, jump pads or other platforming elements to make travelling fun, it's a real vibe. Most of it is kept simple with sections that look good, but don't require complicated inputs to pull off. The combat is basic, but it works. Good to see it isn't overcomplicated or janky to detract from the experience. The game is mostly linear, there are some side quests and a few optional races, but don't expect an big open world to explore. Although there is a free roam after finishing the game to enjoy.

Some nice plot twists for a story that ends up being really sweet. Towards the end it had me hooked and it was good to see the story's tension be resolved. There is voice acting for the most part, but a few dialogues are replaced with grunts. Some negatives for me were a game crash, luckily the auto save was pretty close in progress and some weird freezes that weren't too frequent. The price may be a bit high for what was for me a four hour game, I did pick it up at a sale.

For achievement hunters:
Talk to the shopkeeper several times and pay attention to the racing flag icon to complete all 4 races, those are the only non story achievements.

Pretty fun and free 2D platformer. I'm not a fan of the visuals and how they change on every star pick up. Yes, there is an in game option to choose the colors, but I still wish there are some default color schemes that are better. The platforming mechanics are fun and there are level skips for the 5 short levels. Keyboard controls weren't explained, but they are Q for teleport, S + Space for super jump. I could complete all endings in 20 minutes, so it is a short game. The hardest level is level 4 with the starting cannons.
