why are all my male friends dressing up as characters from this game?

The American mind cannot comprehend this European interpretation of America. If you are an American, it is completely impossible to take this game seriously due to the mediocre attempts at the accent by European voice actors.

The controls and camera are an absolute nightmare. The controls did not work with an Xbox controller out of the box, the most common controller on Windows.

Even for $2.50, it's not worth torturing yourself. I got one ending and watched the rest on youtube.

I'm always looking for games that actually resonate with me, and this one did, despite not being perfect. I appreciated what it was trying to do enough to overlook the faults.

* The wild plot of Nier Automata
* Gradually knowing your teammates like in Mass Effect
* The combat is a mix of many games, like Tales of Arise but more action-y

+ Great characters and character interactions
+ Good but confusing story
+ Relatively simple combat (two attacks, dodge, and several toggle-able buffs) that becomes really hectic in a fun way
- Sidequests are extremely annoying, don't add anything to the story, and the rewards are not worth it
- RNG drops result in grinding for completion

Relaxing atmosphere, accurate physics, beautiful scenery, and challenging courses. What more can you ask for?
