Addicting, fast paced combat that reminds me a lot of Diablo 3 meets Dota 2.

The rogue-like features and the variety of playable travelers means the build variety is enough to make each run feel unique and fun. Most of my hours are over the course of the last two days, it's very satisfying to make a build and adapt it on the fly to do tons of damage. Even if I don't clear the final boss and die, I get closer each time and I'm clearly doing something right.

The game also has extended progression with the form of Stardust and character leveling out of the runs. This allows you to customize your build and playstyle a bit before you start with several load out options and enough interesting set ups to change a characters entire equipment.

The game also has plenty of secret rewards that encourage you to explore and find new things, adding them to the pool of potential loot you can use in a future run. The fact that it's co-op too is extremely cool, I've only gotten to do one co-op run with a friend but it was satisfying start to finish. This is a must have game!

A solid low-poly STALKER style game with anthropomorphic characters. Whether you are a furry or not, the gameplay loop, quests, gunplay, monsters, anomalies and environments are all solid enough to warrant giving it a good shot.

For $30, the game is packed with content and surprisingly few bugs (besides the ones you can catch and eat). There's lots of quests, interesting factions to work with or against. What feels like hundreds of different weapons to acquire and use with variants on each. Lots of lootable items and locations to explore. Enough variety in monsters that I'm still discovering new ones hours later. If you are a fan of the STALKER series or games like it, it is worth a shot. Because it is still very early in development, much can change and be improved upon.

I don't play many of these horror co-op-like party games but this one is insanely fun, and very much feels like the Thing. I'm impressed that the atmosphere is as intense as it is for how cheap of a game it is. The sound and ambiance is better than most triple A games.

People need to stop saying this game is abandoned, the dev was taken by ICE. Maybe have more sympathy for the life of a man instead of the state of the game fascist goons.

Single play through so far, but I loved every moment of it. No performance issues on my end beyond a little loading between scenes. The game is perfect for fans of Dead by Daylight, there are so many references to the game in some subtle or obvious ways. It gives players a more in-depth look at the universe as a whole while telling a story about one particular killer; Frank Stone.

I can't wait to run through it again and see how differently the story changes, I am told there are 15 different endings to the game, which is wild because I felt like I got the true one.

Updating Review, while my review as more about the balance changes regarding patrols (as I had little issue with the weapon changes done). I kept my review negative regardless because of the Sony issue that arose shortly after the patch.

Now that Sony has realized the errors of their ways as a Publisher, I'm changing my review back to positive in solidarity to the community that made this effort happen. Some of the most passionate people play this game and made their voices heard. Hopefully those that were refunded or in countries where the game got delisted are able to repurchase or get access to it again. I imagine after the decision changes Valve should honor that and the Status Quo can be returned.

Dive together, or not at all.

As of the latest patch 4/29. I am changing my review of the game to negative and it's staying that way until the devs get their act together.

What started out as a funny and fun arcade co-op shooter quickly turned into nothing but stress and massive imbalances. Anything the community enjoys or uses a lot is nerfed into the ground without much care making less appealing options and ironically pushing players towards more meta options. There were many weapons that weren't 'meta' yet they received a nerf anyways because they were frequently used.

The patrol system is a nightmare and the devs decided they really, really hate solo Helldivers which is unfortunate as not everyone has friends to play with or enjoys playing with randoms. I do a bit of both, a lot of my solo plays are to farm items (samples, req, medals). But with the recent change that makes patrols even more numerous against solo players, it's impossible. Difficulty 4 missions play like Difficulty 8s, and Difficulty 8s are straight up impossible now. There is no way to enjoy this game alone anymore.

Then you have the enemy imbalances. There's quite a diverse cast of enemies and yet one faction remains unanimously more overpowered than the other. Bots have the added benefit of range, but their patrol sizes are larger and more tankier. They call in bot drops super fast and destroying a dropship does not kill it's passengers making targeting them worthless. Heavy and Massive enemies are extremely frequent for bots, and nearly half of the enemy units are capable of one shotting you regardless of armor.

Speaking of armor. Pointless, it's fashion at this point because the armor values do not mean anything despite being fixed. The default starting armor has the same value as heavy armor without the negative of being slowed down, so why would you ever use heavy armor? The chances of heavy or even medium armor taking one more hit for you is not guaranteed because the game thinks it needs a Random Crit system to ensure it can kill you. So a single lone scavenger can come up and one shot you from full health because of a crit, and you aren't telegraphed this in any way.

There are way too many hostile changes towards players, the game has stopped being a fun swarm arcade shooter and is just an awful grind for marginal increases in success.

Sequel to one of the best Souls-Like Shooters to ever come out. Took everything that was perfect about Remnant 2 and improved it while also diversifying it so that nearly every single play style and build is viable. There are no 'meta' builds per se, everything works just in it's own unique way. The game's content is tripled, and the amount of secrets has gone up by 10x extending replayability ten fold.

Anyone that says this game is designed around co-op first is misinformed. Remnant, and Remnant 2 are built around the single player experience FIRST, and the co-op SECOND. Just because the game brings unique types of fights, including add phases, does not mean it is meant to be played purely as a co-op game. Co-op is exceptionally fun and a blast, and there are a few (not many) puzzles or secrets that require two or more players in order to complete.

Not seeing the port outrage like everyone else.

But I also keep my computer well maintained and optimized even with six year old hardware. Had zero crashes so far, even live streamed for seven hours straight just fine. Some parts of the game are frustratingly brutal but that's the game not optimization or anything. It still looks gorgeous to this day. Love recognizing a lot of actors in here from shows I watch.

Shaders took about 30+ minutes to build on first start up but I waited it out and it was all good after that.

Amazingly faithful recreation of the original game, improved many sections of the game while also changing the pacing and adding new surprises such as different map layouts and navigation. Everything else feels the same and is just straight up improvements.

Also it's currently pissing off all the Alt-Right because it reminds them that trans and gay people exist. Forums are littered with people upset about a fictional bathroom. Comedy gold.

Somebody hurt this developer as a child, I'm 100% convinced of it. Their campaign mode, the mode that most rhythm games use as a teaching tool, is only there to challenge you, not make you better at the game.

There is several missions, one that even road blocks you, where you must move your hands a specific amount of distance during the song. Doesn't sound complicated except for the fact that the distance required is some astronomically high number that the only way to beat said levels is to play dangerously at risk of injury or damaging your controllers (which aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheap)!

If you're playing purely for the solo songs, it's okay, it does have custom song options but the fact that the campaign is a tacked on challenge mode and not a teaching tool is pathetic and makes this not feel like a complete package. Until the devs adjust the meter requirements, this stays negative.

Bought expecting to have a shooter VR game I could play like Splinter Cell as mentioned but the basic mechanics barely work at all. Game doesn't even teach you how to play or even shoot a gun. I loaded up a random mission and just couldn't do anything, it was really dull.
