Honestly can't recommend this game enough.

It's absurdly hard, especially when you really get into the so-called "endgame", which encompasses both the change in encounters and how difficult those encounters are, not just the linear progression you might think of, but more like an upward slope near the end.

However, it's one of the most rewarding games i've ever got to play. Responsive, beautiful, brimming with life, or, lore-wise, lack thereof, incredibly fun to experiment along with offering a plethora of ways to artificially alter your experience to suit your taste without taking away from the core gameplay.

On top of all that, Motion Twins is one of the most dedicated, passionate dev teams i've seen and this is coming from someone who's been following them ever since the beta. They offer paid DLCs, each is essentially half the game in and of itself, for a fraction of the price other games would charge their own DLCs for, which is still hard for me to believe. What more could you ask for, really?

Intensely fast-paced, solid, comprehensive mechanics, a seemingly endless depth to discover, coupled with an absolutely stunning soundtrack, a somewhat captivating lore/story make this one of the best rogue-likes there have ever been.

Plain and simple at first glance yet somehow are still able to grip you and leave you with something new with every run you take.

This is sure one prized gem worth keeping in your gaming arsenal.
