With everything I know right now I'm not sure this game is even worth about $2 that I spent on this game about 8-9 years ago. Funny thing is you can get fooled, buy a lot of skins or DLCs, and then get in-game ban while playing different EAC game (7D2D Darkness Falls with EAC disabled), and they will deny your appeal, because why not. I've never used anything that would give me an advantage in Rust, and my account was never shared.
The rest is the same same, literally, random people don't care about couple more bucks spent to join so-called 'premium' server and spoil your game with cheats, but wait, more DLCs and wall skins though!



Facepunch focuses on adding and promoting pay-to-win skins instead of optimising Unity spaghetti code or getting rid of the cheaters. Their anti-cheat service works only if you report actual cheater, so every time you do so, it takes ages and is always too late, because someone just spoiled you hundreds of hours spent on the servers, especially official ones. The only way to have any fun is to join community servers supported by additional, actually working anti-cheat service. Overall, this is way more frustrating than CS:GO community.

09.10.2025:
CS:GO had its flaws, but right now this game is worth nothing more than making its code open source for educational purposes — just to show the youth what not to do when coding games.



10/10, not bad.
