Buy this version before SEGASS delists it in favor of a more expensive edition with barely any new content.

This game could be so good, but instead all the development and manpower put into this game goes to making battlepasses for stuff that nobody gaf about. Add new ships, new enemies, new locations, new mechanics, new weapons, new ANYTHING BESIDES COSMETIC SLOP.

It was already bad enough when the FOV was massacred to create a "Fair gaming experience" for console and PC players. Now, there's over 100 gigashits of data for a game that came out in 2018 with almost little to no new content besides story missions. Well done.

It's not really a game, more like a simulation.

Even though I recommend this game, I have big problems with it.

The whole idea is great, the only other game I can think of that is a good 3D physics-based creature evolution simulator is Wobbledogs. You can create an underwater environment and populate it with plants and animals.

Creatures generate with a head, body, and an optional part. A part is just a block with which you can change the dimensions of. This means there are no actual fin, tail, tentacle, leg, arm parts or parts of other shapes besides block, flat block, and cylindrical block. When you generate creatures, most or all of them will be genetic abominations. They will generate with tumor-like growths and usually die or live by somehow being able to swim. "Swimming" for a genetic abomination involves either vibrating two parts together, or flailing their malformed appendages to swim in a circle, or they don't even move at all.

Evolution is handled each generation. A creature can evolve a new part, change the dimensions, rotation, and/or location of a part, body size/color, behaviors and mechanics (Schooling, venom, thick skull), and change brain node configuration. I think though that evolution in this game is meaningless. I don't know exactly how it works, but I have never seen a species take advantage of their environment, interact with other species (Besides predator/prey), prefer certain foods, or really anything interesting besides ruining an actually good species that I made or one that was randomly generated. Nothing really drives evolution besides RNG.

I believe this game could have been better, don't know what the development is on this game if it's finished or not, or how many devs there are, but if you want to check it out probably get it on sale unless you really like this type of thing.

I've been playing Elona+ for a long time, then I heard that there was a kickstarter for Elin, the successor/prequel to Elona. I backed it along with almost 6,000 other people to help produce this amazing game.
