A change-your-environment platformer that falls short. The music, graphics and voice acting are charming and at times suspenseful. As the game progresses the plot seems to stall while focus on the game mechanics grows. Something about the cohesion of the game seems off and overall it is difficult to stay interested.

The input on a controller is soft. This is a problem half way through the game when a level suddenly requires more precision platforming that is essentially on rails. If you have a D-Pad like that of the X-Box controller, any input other than exactly right or left seems to cancel your jump trajectory. That is infuriating and forces the use of the analog stick.

Oh man, the story... It hits you right in the feelings.

Might be one of the most challenging rogue'ish games I've played. Intreging amount of stuff to do and find. Music is catchy. You will probably die a lot.

Fun dungeon crawler. Lots of fun secrets to find. Somewhat challeging at times, but in a good way. Inspires exploration. Had fun with this solo. Probably a blast with 2-4 players. (Read: Steam friends, get this!)

When it works, the game is just okay. Music is catchy, although it gets repetitive. Some of the puzzles challenge you to explore the levels, which is nice. However, some the levels have weird design that make it difficult to figure out how to reach items or goals. Some levels demand precise control that frustrates without an good/accurate controller.

I would have been on the fence about recommending this, but then the bugs happened. A bug corrupted my save and after the bug was fixed (?) my save file was wiped out. Gear collection was resetting every time you closed the game. Developers sometimes did answer questions about these issues on the forum, but didn't end up responding to support emails.

Data loss is an instant turn off, and it just didn't seem worth it to start the game over again.

Decent puzzler. Simple design that probably benefits VR users the most. Some of the levels, sounds, and atmosphere build tension as you explore. If you like puzzle/exploration games this is worth a look for the price.

This is a straight up classic RPG with some good humor intertwined into the story. Fun stuff.

Interesting mobile game that was better off staying mobile. Solid challenge in concept. Surprisingly good music. However, the controls do not make the transition to PC well. My hand was hurting in record time and the cursor accuracy can be buggy. Adjusting the screen size might help, but there seems to be no way to do that. The options are amazingly limited and the main menu is a mess. Consider trying this on iPad, but pass on the PC version.

The price when Steam is having a sale makes this game more acceptable. However, the game is otherwise disappointing. Seems like DLC with all the bugs from the original Dead Island plus more. Borderline insulting how some of the issues from the previous game remained.
