HADES | (Varatha) RUN 2
Review Showcase
Team Cherry is a group of incredibly passionate people making videogames.
Silksong could only exist because their previous game gave them the chance to work quietly, efficiently, and without the fear of going broke. In any other circumstances, a game like Silksong probably would have never been made. And that’s a huge deal.

Videogames can be art, and Silksong absolutely proves it. The insane amount of little details, polish, and touches they’ve added can only come from people who truly love what they’re doing. You just can’t stay passive in front of such beauty. And it’s only 20 bucks. TWENTY bucks for a game crafted with this level of care and detail.

The game is hard, punishing, sometimes frustrating — but if you put effort into it, it will reward you. It’s not a mindless experience. Great games, in my opinion, should sharpen your senses, your mind, your instincts, and your reflexes, just like any other game you’d play with friends. Want to relax? Go play Stardew Valley (another masterpiece). Want to improve yourself? Then you need to learn, struggle, focus, suffer. And if you keep failing, just wander around — chances are you’ll eventually stumble upon the key to overcome your limits (*coff*Beastfly*coff*).

You should buy this game because people like Team Cherry and Billy Basso make videogames eternal. No amount of money can rip creativity and brilliance away from those who are truly passionate, and we need to make sure they’re rewarded for it.
If you love videogames as the most complex and fascinating medium ever created, buy Silksong. I bet anything that somewhere in the world, someone will always be making the videogame of your dreams.

Thank you, Team Cherry.

I HATE Into The Breach because I like it so, so, so, so much.

I hate it because it is too addictive. It is dangerous. And I have to do boring stuff like working, studying, and living, so I cannot spend the entire day playing it.

One single round is 4 hours long if you want to enjoy it. I played it for 70 hours and I feel I have barely scratched the surface. For comparison: I 100%'d Hollow Knight in 64 hours and I am far from being a good action player.

I love video games that actually let you play them. You hit the start button and are almost immediately launched into the action. Minimal story, few mechanics pushed and stretched, no pauses, brilliant and minimal design, but a terrifically addictive gameplay loop.

I hate it but I love it.
