Beautifully animated with a committed voice cast, Dispatch is everything I wanted and more. Seriously I am shocked at how much I loved this; that's coming from a comic book fanboy. I just didn't initially believe that the "Telltale Style" needed to be resurrected and I am incredibly happy to say this: I was wrong. Very, very wrong. You will fall in love with these characters, this world that AdHoc has built, the gorgeous music backing every scene, and the PHENOMENAL writing.

Earlier this year, I was certain DOOM: The Dark Ages would be my GOTY. That was true for most of 2025 until I picked this up, because Dispatch is by far and away my favorite video game to release this year. It's so good that I didn't want it to end.

I described Crysis 1 as a 1980's action flick, and this one is perfectly described as a Michael Bay movie. Bombastic, filled with sweeping and explosive action while paper thin characters spout military jargon and random techno-babble. It's way more linear than the OG but still provides you multiple ways to approach a given objective. The gunplay is a hell of a lot better than the first game, as is your Nanosuit, since you can now upgrade various aspects of the suit itself. My one complaint are the Pinger enemies; these things suck.

This is the most glowing recommendation I can give: I hate extraction shooters, but I LOVE ARC Raiders.

Essentially an 80's action movie in video game form. Cheesy dialogue, pretty bad voice acting, and aliens coming outta nowhere to throw what starts as a pretty normal military operation into chaos. I had a lot of fun with this, with some caveats. Visually this remaster is gorgeous! Lush foliage, the water looks unreal, really great stuff. But the character models are severely lacking, in-game cutscenes have weird screen tearing (literally no other part of the game did), and some textures are ehhhh.

Combat is a lot of fun although the Nanosuit's energy drains like crazy. The big open missions against North Koreans are the best parts of this game, and as soon as you start taking on the Aliens, it suffers big time. There's an utterly abysmal Zero-G level that I hated with a passion. The enemies zip past you and blend in with the environment while you're trying to get your bearings, it just sucks. The final boss is TERRIBLE in every way. I wish more of the game was the open-ended missions against NK, not these invaders. Overall though? Good time.

I don't even know how to play poker (or any card game, for that matter), but this is an insanely addicting poker roguelike. The art, the music, and the overall gameplay are so chill that I don't even get mad when I lose everything. I just start a new run and get going. The fact that this was made by one person, and was nominated for Game of The Year, is insane and a testament to how well put together it is. Endlessly entertaining.

Horror masterclass in every sense. Atmosphere, visuals, music, and sound design are all incredible. The amount of content on offer is also superb, "bang for your buck" is an understatement. I know that it's blasphemy to say this, but I hate the older Resident Evil games. I cannot play them with the abysmal controls. This remake, in my opinion, is the perfect way to experience this story.
