i always liked this game, its frantic, full of action, good co-op system and an interesting story to witness, as a whole star system falls into chaos due to a zombie infection, and the only forces that can stop is, is the special SAS units (us).
in a world sunk into darkness, we have to be the light, and its beautifully done.

good graphics, nice music, good sound effects, very beautiful weapons and armour with unique stories in them and a slowly building tension that becomes more scary as you progress into the next battlefields of zombie hordes.
with good teammates, its a bearable situation. with bad or no teammates, its a living nightmare.
truly a superb top-down view zombie shooting game, and a good adventure in general.

a great game that the developers keep updating, even after all those years, showing their dedication to their players.
and we all appreciate their hard work.

i originally played the first stanley parable game back in early 2016-2017, and it was truly spectacular.

i loved this weird, existentialist, funny and well written game that used surrealism and humour so well, in so many combinations, with a great (sarcastic) narrator, the hapless protagonist (stanley), an eerily empty office setting and many mysteries to solve, i was sold: this game was truly one of the greatest surreal games of the decade.

so naturally, when i heard that a new sequel/remix of stanley parable was coming out on april of 2022, i got the game as fast as possible, (on may), and i forgot to get in action until later, but i played it frantically and i loved getting each achievement, and exploring each area and dialogue option, not to mention the many interesting paths and endings that you could now reach!

my only wish would be for the ''confusion ending'' to have actually be played out in its entirety instead of being implied for comedic effect, and to maybe add achievements for each of the major endings/paths of the game. (a tough task, but it would be so awesome!).

i would wish for a sequel/new iteration of a similar game in the future, but i doubt that this would happen anytime soon.
either way, this is a superb game, and i enjoyed it so very much!

if you love surreal, funny and cool games that mix paradoxes/jokes and philosophy with office humour under the sarcastic remarks of a delightful narrator, then this is the game for you.
(naturally, the best parts of the game were: the narrator, stanley, THE BUCKET, and richard kepler, who assisted the protagonist during a crucial part of the game.)

what a great game!!!

a date in the park is a good, strange and unique mystery/horror game experience that unfolds its mysteries the more you explore the park.
when we see the protagonist (lou), he simply wants to go to a dake in the part with a cute girl that he met in a bar the previous night, and all seems OK so far, right?
WRONG. she isnt there and you have to solve some clues in order to find her.
the park is vast, beautiful and with many historical/cultural references in it. everything is nice, but something seems off.
whats also quite obvious is that lou doesnt know any protuguese, that makes the whole situation even more challenging.

the park itself, ''Tapada das Necessidades'' is very beautiful and its an actual location, which adds more charm and realism in this game.
furthermore, the statues seen inside the museum/dome section of the park tell their own story: from adrasteia, the secondary goddess of revenge (after nemesis), to vejovis, roman god of healing, (based on the greek god of healing, asclepius), to priapus (greek god of male fertility and nature/gardens), to sancus (god of oaths), and the mysteries that unfold the deeper we go inside the park.

i wish that this game would let us explore more of the parks dome building, or the museum building with the extra statues and the tiled walls, or to find an extra meaning/story behind all those cryptic and unique elements, instead of barging so quickly with the (eventually recognized) horrors that would lie in front of us.

the ending was sad and anti-climactic, but it was a good ending given the premise of the story and with how things were going.
the language barrier in here was strong, and if this game can teach us anything is, that knowing foreign languages can sometimes save your life.

all in all, this was a very good and interesting game, but i felt that it needed to explore more on its potential lore before going all in at that final chapter.

i would like to see more mystery games like this from the developer, but with extra lore/stories in them.

splitgate is an incredible game to play, and lots of fun in every aspect:
in one glance, one would say that splitgate is the love child of HALO and portal, and that it combines the best aspects of both games, which in result, will form one of the best games out there...
...and they would be right.

what can i say? its fun, wild, full of action, you shoot enemies, you wear cool armour, you have various cool weapons to choose from, and you jump from portals too, all the while you use your thrusters in order to escape from trouble.
want a good FPS game that has variety, action and fun in it?

look no further, splitgate is here!
superb game, and i wish for it to be a big success for a long time, as the developers really put good effort in it.

this game, is called the corridor. which corridor, you may ask?
the polish corridor? the corridor of secrets?
no, its THE corridor, plain and simple.

a corridor of mystery, allure and fear, all wrapped up in one cool, tight package.

joking aside, this is a very good (surreal) game, and it ticks many of the boxes in what i personally think are the requirements of a good surreal game.

first of all, the premise of this game is simple: you have to walk through the corridor and to click on that large orange button on top of that boxy device.
simple, easy to do, piece of cake.

you click on the button, and...
...this is where the fun begins.

without saying too many spoilers, you start a wild and epic adventure, as the game starts making things slightly more surreal and strange for you as you move on in the game, and the more you persist, the more the game will put you through the ordeal of (not) completing the level as you move on.

physics of the world will change, the perspective will change, you will have to find you button amongst 157 identical buttons, you will end up on a remote island, you will be a soldier, an explorer, a poet, you will perform in front of an audience and many more things.

the BEST part of this game is definitely mr cardboard man,
he is the only character that will support you: he will encourage you, he will tell you to keep playing this game despite all of the developers obstables in it, he will lift your mood and he will always be there to help you.

he can even provide you with psychological support and he will discuss philosophical topics with you.
naturally, he is a charming and awesome character who steals the whole show.
he is, as he says: ''a cardboard man with a cardboard plan''.
and if you listen to his advice, you will win the game in the end.

(at some points, your game might restart alot, and thats the only bad (planned) part of it, but if you change your status into offline, you will not annoy your friends as you will replay this game again during the first/second playthrough...)

all in all, if you like surreal, strange games that get weirder as you progress in to them and games that surprise you with their sudden changes (in a good way), then this will be a good game for you.
if you liked ''the stanley parable'', then you will like this shorter version of it.
(think of it as the little brother of the stanley parable: similar in its uniqueness and in its surreal elements, but shorter and different from it at the same time.)

its a good game, and it costs cheaper than a beer, so there is no reason not to play it.
its a fun game!

i first played this game on early 2017, when i was new on steam and i wanted to try out some interesting, surreal games.
back then, there werent any concepts such as a ''surreal game'' or a ''liminal space/liminal game'', so you can imagine what a pioneer ''the stanley parable'' was on that department.

Anyway, i got this game on early 2017 on a sale, and i said to myself: ''i hope that this game will be a good adventure''.
and oh boy was i right.
it was a great and interesting adventure, full of bizarre moments, of surreal elements and of scenes both normal, funny, quirky and (sometimes) a bit upsetting. (in an uncanny valley kind-of-way, not in a scary/bad way)

So, as you can guess by now, i fell in love with this game, and with any other game of this type, as i loved playing surreal games and this game IS the archetype and THE definition of a surreal, unique game.

To this day, if i will look at a game that will be categorized as ''like this game'' (aka=recommended to me if i liked the stanley parable), then i will seriously consider getting it.
When i first played this game, it was relatively new, and the genre wasnt as popular or as well defined as it is now...
Now, this game is 8+ years old and its a staple classic among all the surreal, weird, or simply unique ''walking simulators'' out there.

i think that only the new ''superliminal'' game can reach the grandeur of this game, and even then, its not as comedic or wild as this one... (and i love superliminal, its another spectacular game that messes with the concepts of physics and logic, in very interesting ways)

This game has good humour, many multiple choices and paths to follow and some crazy, crazy achievements to earn...
Also the narrator's voice acting and script is amazing, i just love how the narrator scolds or rewards you according to your playstyle, its very clever and funny to see...

So, in conclusion, this game is great, and if you want to play a surreal game that is the best of the best in both interactivity, humour and action, this is the game to play.

this is ''beautycopter'', another fine game made by the genius of ''Graceless Games'', and its exactly what i love in a game:
surreal, wild, strange and extremely funny!
i like how the player, as a hapless bellboy in a icy spa hotel, is trying his best in order to please the hotels clients by performing chores for them, moving them around, finding lost items for them or even talking with them about life, chairs or about the icy spa's accommodations.

the quests are great, all the characters are cool and loveable, the way you can interact with them is very creative (with various buttons and expressions, with interesting results) and its cool that you can fly around everywhere with your trusty helicopter (beautycopter!)

i had lots of fun with the flying part, but the only ''bad'' thing was that you cant ''walk'' or turn easily when you are on the ground's level, meaning that while you fly you have 100% control is moving around and turning (thus allowing you to see everything perfectly and to control your rise/descend properly), but when you ''walk'' in the ground, the turning is stiff and moving forward is a bit tough, which requires you to be constantly in a semi-hovering mode, in order to move around properly.

other than this small technical issue when you ''walk'' in the ground, everything is else is perfect and you can interact perfectly with every aspect of this game's world.

all the characters are nicely designed, funny and very strange, all the (robotic) voice-acting is good and nicely done, and the questline of the game is very very good, always keeping you interested in the whole thing.

my favorite parts where the frozen pool quest, the one with the old chicken girls the one with your little sparrow friend and the one with the sad clown living in a lake...

i could go on and on, but this game is amazing, and if you like surreal, strange and funny games with cool characters and funny quests, you should definitely play this game!

i would love to see more games by this developer, for he always makes the best and coolest games of this kind around...
i would hope for a return of his fiat panda car and of the doggy from his first game into a new sequel, that would be splendid.

i give this game 10/10 frozen pools.

well, this game was certainly an interesting mental test and an exercise to futility...

(SPOILERS BELOW)

it was an emotional rollercoaster, and while at first i had hopes of giving her a happy or a better ending, all (early) attempts ended in disaster.
then, i tried to earn the other achievements, so i had to treat her badly in order to complete the games achievements.

it was a very thought provoking game, and it got into some very dark places.
its strange how you see a digital character, a character that doesnt exist, and yet it can cause you so much sadness when she suffers or when she is feeling hopeless and alone/depressed.

its a very weird thing, to get sad by seeing a nonexistent character suffering so much in such a hopeless, empty environment.

i understand that this is how the game should remain, for it is a dark cloud, without any silver lining in it.
thats the purpose of the game.

but i wish that the developer would make a sequel to this game, where you explore more options with her...
that way, both sides of the ''field'' would be pleased: the current game would remain as a testament to the hopelessness one can feel in a condition beyond their control,
AND, we would get a sequel that has possible different options, different activities for the girl (exercize, work, run, listen to music), different endings (with some happy ending(s) too...), and with some clever jokes about the development of a game, (in short, a game making fun of itself and of the process that creates games in general), that would be a pretty great sequel to this game imho...

and it would add a new layer of fun/exploration into this adorable character.
because she definitely seems like a very complicated and unqiue character, that deserves to see more fame in the spotlight, ergo, in the form of a new game with her.

ABOUT THE GAME:

it had a very good design for its intro screen and for its menus, all the buttons+options worked nicely for the game, and its whole greenish colours and style had a gameboy/early portable consoles aesthetic, which was very very cool for me.

as far as the story goes, its an example of how bad things are, when tehy are out of our control.
its hopeless, dark and depressing. and when you go out for the other achievements and you treate her badly, it gets even darker, until the final time, when you ''complete'' the game, and you get back to reality by the ''girl'', which states how ''its not real'', and that the whole thing is truly concluded now.

the parts where the girl hinted about her ''daddy'' and the lore of the gloomy land of thunders and of eternal darkness, the land where you could sit ''under the sycamore trees'', THAT was some good, creepy and unsettling lore right there.

i could easily assume that her ''daddy'' is the devil, and that her fathers domain is hell, where only thunders and eternal darkness exist in there...
one more clue for her fate could be implied when she said : ''what sins have i committed to suffer like this, to be stuck in this purgatory?'', which could indicate that this girl is indeed the devils daughter, and that she pays a punishment for her family's sins, and as such, she is stuck in this purgatory with random masters.

(also this could be a clever reference to the old trend/meme that ''anime girls are spawns of the devil''. if so, thats extremely nicely done)

the whole environment of the game is so eerie too : an empty land, stretching as far as the eye can see, where the only stable thing is the cute green girl, her tools (bathtub, food etc etc) and you.
her ''owner''/master.

all in all, it was a very nicely-done game, with good gameplay, various endings to explore, and it left you thinking about life, death, depression and when things are completely out of our control.

it was a very good, dark and interesting game to play, really.
the creator of this game should do more games like this, or with a similarly thought-provoking process like that, at least. (but less depressing, if its possible)

cheers!
