Early Access Review
GTFO outdone itself by being a game not only about tactics, it is all about teamwork. The amount of times where we knew what to do but screw up is countless but the completing a level is always the greatest rewards.

PRO:
+ The game is really really strict. They are not screwing around and neither should you.
+ The game makes even the mundane task of collecting information per level interesting as you need to learn console commands.
+ The game works extremely well with teamwork and it extremely entertaining when playing with friends.

CONS:
- Without Friends, I probably wont play it as much :/
- Some of the rundown levels can get a little complex and confusing and playtime per level can get pass an hour long.

Solid game only if you gotten Forsaken and Shadowkeep. Base Vanilla Game is too bare bone to play as a standalone.

I rarely write review for games, but No Man's Sky pushed me across the limits that I guess I have to write something about it. I m a big fan of Sandbox survivals or exploration base games, I clocked numerous hours in games like Ark Survival, Terreria(not in my steam),Starbound and Astroneer. I love the genre to death and that what made me so furious at what No Man Sky could have been but didnt.

==============================================
Firstly, Let start with with No Man's Sky Pre-foundation Update
==============================================
1. Game was very pleasing and very fun exploring a single planet.
2. Although gameplay became a pattern, at least there is always a node / new landmark to explore.
3. The game wasnt much about Units(In-game money) and more like exploring and discovering.
4. Speaking with the lifeforms which inhabits the planet is interesting and it feel the planet is alive.
5. The game was chill, key materials like Plutonium and stuff was abundances in certain planets.
6. Very chill but can get boring due to pattern repetition.
7. Goal were simple. Expand Inventory, Ship and Multi Tool. Explore, Relax, Discover. * Find Altas *
8. Checkpoints / Landmarks / New Locations were easy to scan for. Making good for short term goals.

The game was obviously lacking to some player in terms of things to do, but to me, it was simple and relaxing. You enjoy the sceneries and you gathering around. Hit some jackpot planet and celebrate.
During pre-foundation update, I hardly jump from suns to suns. I spend quite alot of time on one planets before shifting to another. That was probably the simple joy I had with the game. It did get boring, but the game design was solid although little.

=========================================
Post Foundation Update ( Where it went horribly wrong?)
=========================================
Post Foundation update was exciting, I was telling my friend and excitied to jump back into the game to see what cement with the old game design with the new stuff. Nowhere in the patches did they unveil to me, the horror to a certain extent the foundation update had to bring...

1. Key materials start to become sparse in every planet ( I start hoarding plutonium and fearing of losing my stuff )
2. Checkpoints / Landmarks / New Locations become super hard to locate. It came down to a chance system.
3. I cant seem to find anymore Lifeform ( Korvax or Gek ) anywhere in the planets anymore... I only see platnium caches / ruins / drop pods and locations with nothing but a save point.
4. No more signal scanner ( Non-buildable ones) means no more tranmission towers = no chance to find new ships.
5. Base-Building locked behind a very specific questline (making it a wild-goose chase).
6. Freighters and new ships cost a bomb without base building aspect.
7. Planets become more of a resource node than a planet to explore.

The new foundation update threw away alot of what i loved about the game and gave me something wholly new and may not be the best thing. This is because the game has become less of a exploration game and more of a wild goose chase for materials and base building.

I don't get excited to find new planets to land because landing cost me plutonium and plutonium has become fearfully little on planets. If I dont see a material i want from a planet in the planetary scan, i just turn away and scan another.

The landmarks have also become so little it scary. Last time, i get annoyed that there was so many landmarks left unchecked on my screen it feels so clustered and annoying. Now I want that back cause I CANT FIND A SINGLE place on the planet. There is probably 1 or 2 markers to lead to me something but usually not something I want.

the Quest line is hilarously stupid. The game tasks the player to find a very very rare and specific resource to unlock more base building. It really pushes the player to view planets more as resource nodes than planets with life to explore.

It seems easier to purchase everything with Units than to do anything else now, cause instead of being fun and relaxing, it starts being tedious and unproductive. Largely, I believe due to the amount you get from mining. It feel like you are getting very little for each rare material you harvest and harvesting an entire rock structure of material can take awhile.

Overall, You guys might feel that I m ranting, and I do feel it too but I have placed so much faith in Hello Games to make things better and right yet to only see it has fall to the ground. I stilll believe this game can get better but if the team stop believing that procedural generating and randomization can prolong this game ( it willl not). I will still sink hours and hours into the game to complete and max out my spaceship(bag and multitool already max), clear the base building questline and find for all the Altas story. But these Hours will probably not be the same 20+ hours i sank in the pre-foundation update.

Now, I go on a wild-goose chase for Spadonium, and treat each planet like a resource node. Cause without base-building, I probably can't afford a freighter unless I found a planet which drops ultra rare items.

TL;DR version

Pre-Foundation Update ( Fun but repetitive which leads to being boring but still a chilll game)
Post Foundation Update ( Annoying > fun, Repetitive, Everything is Random, More stuff but no improvement, Planet feels more lifeless )

TO THE DEVELOPERS( IF YOU SEE THIS) :

1. Add mulltiplayer ( this would boost the game so much with base building Ref: Astroneer, Ark Survival)

2. Bring back Pre-Foundation Gameplay cause some of us may not want to spend hours completing base building to gain an income to afford new shiny stuff.

3. Please make scanning for new landmarks easier. The ? marks don't help and are usually disappointment.
