OK, story time. This game is what finally made me replace my old i5 2500K with a brand new R7 5800X, new motherboard, and a whole 32GB of DDR4 ram. After putting my new parts together, keeping my trusty 8GB RX580 I bought during the crypto crash of 2018, I could finally play the outdoor areas without horrible stuttering and progress more than an hour into the game. Except for the crashing. Anywhere between 30 minutes and 3 hours there would be a horrible game crashing error that would bring me to the desktop. I was enraged at the game. Not just because of the crashing but also because I was really getting sucked into the story and characters. I would curse at the error screen and then launch the game right back up again because dammit if it wasn't compelling.

I played Cyberpunk 2077 like this for about 15hours over the course of a month because I thought it was just the inherent bugs of the game everyone online was talking about. Turns out, that shiny 32GB RAM kit I bought wasn't actually on my motherboard's QVL and the XMP memory timings were totally wrong. After spending a week tuning and testing memory timings, I’ve never had the game never crash again lol

TLDR this game has fantastic voice acting with a really compelling story and world. Check your motherboard’s memory compatibility list (carefully!!) and don't skip the side missions, that's literally where half the game is. If you rush through only the main story quests you're going to have a bad time.
