Maybe it would be worth $30 if they added more than 30 court events. If you play for 100 years and do the court events as soon as they pop up, then you'll be seeing the same events 10-20 times. It would be a great DLC if it was $10-$15, but for the price of this DLC you can buy so much better pieces of content. You can literally buy both Terraria and Stardew Valley for less than the cost of this DLC.

Ah, he dropped it, and that's pretty indicative of the way this one's gone.

Well it's really just more of Monster Hunter Stories. The gameplay is practically unchanged from the first game and the graphics are very nice, but in my opinion the story of the first game far outshines the story of this game.

To begin with, out of all the named characters in the game, only about half are actually unique to this game. The other half are returning characters from the first game, which sounds nice until you consider that there's only about 10 named characters in the game. The story also tries to be different from the first game, but only manages to stay unique for the first couple hours then it ends up going through the same motions, just a little bit darker in some spots. Instead of the blight, it's some hazy holes in the ground. Instead of Cheval and Manelger, you get some wierdos in Anjanath and Death Stench armor. Instead of fighting a white dragon as the final boss, you fight another white dragon as the final boss. Ignoring how stupid the concept of having two different Rathas, I also take issue with the fact that this game's Ratha is almost indistinguishable from a regular Rathalos asides from certain cutscenes especially considering that Ratha is pretty much the actual main character of the story. At least the in the first game, Ratha had a unique scar. This is made all the more bitter when about 40% through the game, there's a cutscene in which Ratha looks like the coolest and most badass Rathalos ever and then he nukes a windmill, but then he never even comes even close to looking that cool at all in the rest of the story. The generic-ness of Ratha is probably my biggest gripe with this game with how important he is to the plot. Several questions also go completely unanswered and sometimes even unmentioned. Why the Rathalos leave is never answered. Why Ena's amulet does anything to the final boss is also unanswered. Why a Nergigante wants to go punch the final boss is also unanswered. How or why the final boss does anything is also unanswered. Additionally this game also commits the cardinal sin of not including the Numbers, who are the pinnacle of Monster Hunter character design and pretty much the only characters that were really worth it to bring back. In the end, I think that the game's writing tries way too hard to emulate the first game and really just makes Stories 2 seem like an overdramatic copycat. Additonally, all the monster special moves have been taken straight from the first game with minimal alterations with the exception of the new World monsters, which isn't a problem until you realize that if you've played the first game then you've already seen over 80% of the monster special moves.

However, if you haven't played the first game or otherwise won't spend a lot of time comparing Stories 2 to the original, then I really can't recommend it enough Both Stories games are much better than anything Pokemon has produced in the past 5 years and also have a lot more fun playable hours than most Pokemon games.

If you're a competitive AOE II player, you might as well look at a youtube video on these factions and decide if they fit you at all. The Burgundians have great economic potential (They have all the economy techs and a unique tech that let's their farmers generate gold) but are perhaps a bit too well-rounded of a faction, combat-wise, to really excel at doing anything. If anything Burgundians are great for supporting your team economically and then using Flemish Revolution (turns all your villagers into a unique unit that's like a halberdier but hits like a truck) and some bombard cannons to go for a knockout blow. They also have a unique cav that great for micromanaged hit and run maneuvers you can use in the meantime. The Sicilians, on the other hand, are great if you really like Castle Drops, Forward Towering, or any sort of aggressive turtling strategies, but otherwise their bonuses are too situational to be all that practical. The real meat of this DLC is in the campaigns. All of the campaigns have really nice, extremely well-built missions if maybe a bit easy.

Currently abandoned. If you were hoping for a CNC-inspired customizable-faction RTS, then you're going to be disappointed and with very little to show for it besides a few hours of distraction.

This game is probably the best way to actually learn about how firearms work for those who do not have access to any firearms and allows the rest of us to see the internals of some of the rarest firearms in the world like the Pancor Jackhammer or the Frommer Stop.

Another big plus is that you can link profiles and any progress you make on both the mobile and PC versions.
