"Yea your flock are of puny mamillian nature, and thine heated blood shall heat the eternal fires for your kind, unless thine send thy best, thy most illuminated minds into the service of those scaly overlords, those who would ascend this world owned by hairless mammals into a world of reptillians, an ascended place of scales and cold blood.
And Yea, the call was heard. The greatest of the least, the strongest of the weakest, the most illuminated of those who live in the shadow, they banded together, and forged a society dedicated to keeping the light of the reptillians upon this puny world, so that the fowl heat from their lesser blood could turn into purifying light, spreading its illumination across the world.
