You’re extraordinary radiant like the first sunlight spilling across a quiet kitchen, illuminating everything with warmth and promise. You remind me of perfect eggs, smooth and fragile, containing whole worlds within their delicate shells. But I’ve learned that beauty hides strange truths. The last time I cracked one open, it didn’t spill yolk it whispered. A soft voice, pleading, familiar. I tried to ignore it, but every morning since, more eggs appear, lined neatly on the counter, pulsing faintly under their shells. When I listen closely, they hum your name. I don’t know if they’re calling for you or becoming you.
