The playtime shown is not accurate, I have closer to 60 hours right now. I bought the starter edition during a Uplay sale a couple months ago and then I got the free starter edtion on Steam so it would be easier to use my Steam controller. My favorite thing about this game is that it takes skill. If a player's rep and gear stats are higher than yours it doesn't always mean they are better than you, it just means they have played more than you. There are two things I don't like. Unlocking new heroes in the starter edition costs more steel (in game currency). And the campaign is kind of short and needs more serious fights, it could be a whole lot better with these game mechanics. The last thing I have to say is that the community is great. So far all of the people that I've played with through The Mead Hall Discord server and the official For Honor Discord server are welcoming to new players are willing to help them understand the mechanics of the game.

I don't take any review seriously without system specs, here's mine: i7-5820k, 16GB memory, 2xGTX 970 in SLI, Intel 480 GB SSD for game storage.

They repaired all of the problems with the original PC release, so this is another good challenging game from Bandai Namco. EA could learn a lot from them, after all defeating a boss in a Souls game gives you a real honest sense of accomplishment.

I recommend it because it's a free to play beautiful game that is so well optimized it can be played on a coffee pot. The crafting is a little complicated with way too many types of resources to gather. The only problem I have with it is the combat, I played as Volt and I did not get killed by the enemy one time in 6+ hours. It was so easy that it gave me some insight into what it must be like to be an animal abuser who beats women and children on the weekends.

Great graphics, but there is very little action or strategy involved. The majority of the gameplay is grinding, it's like having a virtual job. The only good thing is that I bought it on sale. I usually don't leave negative reviews because different gamers have different taste, but I'm making an exception because this thing lacks substance.

Only 11 hours into the game and I already know it is going to be a real time bandit. I'll be spending many nights fighting and cussing out evil creatures in this soul crushing game. I recommend it for anybody that it up for a challenge.

I have given this game a chance, played 8 hours and I must say it is rather boring. It has been a real waste of $29.99.

Games like this are the reason why I spent a lot of money on my set up.

Personally, I like the game despite the fact I haven't spent much time on it at the time of this review. It's the kind of game I enjoy. There are main missions, side missions, and a few other things to keep you busy. The vehicles handle on dirt like a vehicle should handle on dirt, the helicopter flies like a helicopter should (yes I had a license), and the plane flies like a plane should (had one of those too). If I had to compare it to another open world game I would say it's like improved Mercenaries 2. My only concern is how Ubisoft does things, you have to be connected to their server for any kind of gameplay. I'll be uploading a couple of gameplay videos tomorrow.

Personally I believe it is the perfect controller for couch/recliner gaming. I highly recommend it for people like me who have the kind of problems with their hands that make it difficult for them use keyboard/mouse.

You do NOT want to use this on an Alienware Area 51 R2. Seriously, it cannot work at the same time as the command center. It damaged my registry to the point that I had to do a fresh Windows install. Now that I have it back up and running the ACC program will not detect GPU temps or fan speed. I've spent so much time trying to straighten out this mess that I'm considering hiring an attorney.
