This game is right up my alley. I can comfortably handle raids while solo and have fun or I can run with my squad and have a great time.

I don't have a high end PC but I did recently add a couple of upgrades.. namely an RTX 5060 and I'm getting 260 FPS using DLSS 4x ..it's so buttery smooth and beautiful and there's no input lag what so ever.

Basically, the game runs super well, looks great, and the game play loop is addicting. I can't praise it enough!

It's an amazing physics-based game that likely has a lot of staying power despite it's very affordable price tag. The fact that the mountains are randomized every 24 hours creates nearly endless replayability. I highly recommend you get this!

For me, this lived up to the hype and I can see myself playing this for quite sometime. The obvious parallel is Overwatch so if you liked that you'll most likely be a fan of Marvel Rivals as well. Give it a try. It's even better with friends.

It took me a long time to dive into this game and I regret waiting. I'm in the last quarter of my first game and it's been addicting to say the least.

"Just one more turn."

My biggest regret is learning about this game as late as I did. It is amazing and I am terrible at it. And, The Spider scares me.. a lot.

This is my go-to game. I've been playing it since launch and every month it gets more and more interesting. The monetization system isn't perfect but it doesn't feel predatory - the monthly season passes are definitely the best purchases are far as value is concerned. If you're into card games at all.. give it a shot.

I've been playing this game with my teenage son and we've been having an absolute blast with it!

We're currently building up a base to call our home and keep us somewhat safe from the elements and cannibals, which are terrifying by the way, that roam the wilderness. It takes quite a few materials to do this such as tree logs, sticks, stones, rope, and sometimes bones. The building/crafting aspect of the game is very robust and pretty easy to wrap your head around after just messing around with it for a bit.

The sound design is great and the graphics/animation are very good considering the age of the game. Long story short, If you're looking for a co-op/multiplayer game, that has open-ended game-play, and a world of possibilities - AND you're a horror fan, I highly recommend picking up The Forest.

Make sure you burn all the cannibals you kill - you'll need the bones!

Everyone says it's QWOP in space and there's a little bit of truth to that but it's not too accurate imho. This game is very polished and I think it probably won't appeal to everyone. Developing the muscle memory to "properly" control yourself is a real battle but with the struggle comes a very rewarding feeling for your efforts - at least that's been my experience so far.

It kind of reminds me of learning how to control your character in Gang Beasts. It's not completely intuitive but when you finally figure it out it's great. There is probably a decent subset of the population that will find this game infuriating but I think it walks the line between challenging and frustratingly unfair pretty well.

The ambient audio is also very calming and helps me feel immersed.

I play this on my PC/MAC/Iphone.. it is endlessly entertaining to me. It's very easy to pick up and attempt a run whenever you have a little bit of free time. I highly recommend that you give it a shot if you have the means. I like it almost as much as 'Into the Breach' so if that's another game that you enjoy then I'm confident you'll like this as well.

** Original Review: I believe I hopped into the game relatively late given how much attention it's been getting on all the gaming news sites and youtube channels. Let me just say that I regret taking so long to make the purchase. I'm only level 4 and I've only been playing for about 3 hours but this game is honestly amazing. It's a breath of fresh air and everything feels consequential.

Starship Troopers is one of my favorite movies and I've always wanted a game that allowed you to inhabit that universe.. I feel like *THIS* is that game. Props to the dev team.. this is an absolute banger. You can jump in and out and feel like your time meant something. I highly recommend you pick this game up if the trailer interested you at all. Don't wait to dive in.

============ ** 05MAY2024 UPDATED Review:

It's no secret that the recent changes, with regards to PSN account linking, have majorly affected the overall outlook on this game. If you look at the entire picture you can see that the actual game is great (not perfect but still great) but unfortunately bad business practices and the over-emphasis on shareholders is ruining the experience and leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the community. I can't endorse this game anymore unless major course correction takes place.

============ ** 06MAY2024 UPDATED Review:

It looks like the community was able to make their collective voice heard and Sony just announced the the requirement to sign into PSN is not going to move forward. This is a good day for Arrowhead Studios and for the Helldivers 2 community. As I stated before, the actual game is great and it feels good knowing that our fellow divers from countries, that don't have access to PSN, will be able to continue playing with us.
