There are a few things that you should know before getting into this one.

The game will crash randomly and it seems to happen more often the longer you play. I have been playing on the Steam Deck, so I have to bring up the overlay and exit the game when it happens. I have had it freeze when starting a battle and in menus in the base. I don't know what causes it.

I really like the Auto-Battle mechainic. I have played all the US releases of Disgaea games and while I do think this one is easier because of the Auto-Battling, I did not loose any enjoyment from going through the story and grinding my characters' levels. In fact, I really liked the fact that I could set things up and let it run to gain levels, instead of me contstantly interacting when level grinding in the past games.

I think there is still a lot here if you enjoyed other Disgaea games and if you like to see the numbers go up for your characters then this one delivers on that.

Recommend getting it for a discount price due to the bugs that cause the game to freeze being very annoying.

Great collection! Wonderful extras and features. More games should have a "Watch" feature.

I had most of these games as a child on the NES. I did not get very far back then.
Still a lot of fun and I am making progress with the rewind function. I would recommend checking it out, even more so on Deck.

One of my favorite DW games in the series. Plays very well on the Steam Deck, although in order to play with multiple controllers, theb controller needs to be connected before opening the game; makes Steam Remote Play with a friend difficult.

There is a mod that patches the game with either the Xbox 360 or DualShock button prompts. I was able to patch with the Xbox using ProtonTricks.
