Early Access Review
Let me start right away with, this is definitely NOT a game for everyone. This game is punishing, clunky, and brutal. When I first played the demo I was so disheartened after following the development of this game for a while. However, I recently gave it a second shake and something clicked. This is exactly what I'm looking for in an extraction shooter: PvE only, gorgeous anesthetics, and something challenging. Sure, there will be times the game is blatantly unfair, like getting stuck on bad geometry or overly aggressive stun-locking. But most times I find myself dying because it was very clearly my mistake. If I take my time, plan out engagements, and be aware, missions go very smoothly. A lot of the early mechanics the fandom hated like water going out based on real time (its now a currency for entering different locations and more advantageous spawn points). These devs seem to be in touch with the community from what I've seen and I feel very comfortable supporting them financially. Making a skin pack for an early access game is making me hesitant but it it helps fund the development and the devs keep making good QOL improvements and expansions to the game like they have been then I have no complaints.

Tldr: if you want a challenging extraction shooter with immaculate vibes, no garbage PvP, and can tolerate some early access jank. Give this a shot. It has a demo so why not? And if you dont jive with it come back after a little while with fresh eyes like I did and it may just click!

Been playing Armored Core since Master of Arena on PS1 and haven't played since Armored Core V. It feels SO good to be back in the cockpit of an AC again. I really hope FromSoft continues to make more. The gameplay feels a lot like an inbetween of AC5 and AC4A (in terms of mobility and mid mission mechanics) with a bit of the stagger mechanic from Sekiro for bosses/minibosses. I can understand why some hard core AC fans might not like that, but I love it and honestly, I'm just stoked we have a new Armored Core after so long.

I'm a little disappointed in one thing only, I kept hearing the helicopter was "The Great Filter" so I was really hyped up for getting my ass beat in an ultra difficult mech fight. However, if you are an AC veteran, and are familiar with the boost combat of AC4A, the copter is really a cake walk. Only died once getting accustomed to the controls after not playing an Armored Core for 10 years. But that disappointment didn't ruin my experience at all, I'm absolutely enamored with this game.

I've only just beat Chapter 1, and I can't wait to get through the rest of the game!

I love fishing minigames, especially in animal crossing. Plus you get to actually be the cute animal rather than the boring human?? This game is just incredibly cozy and such a great time to just vibe along with friends for hours on end. Would love more fish to be added to the game, as well as more customization options (there's a ton already, but being a fox enjoyer myself I would love to play as one). Honestly a phenomenal little game that's more than worth the 5 dollars it's sold at!!

This game is just all around super fun to play, especially if you are a Madness fan. The only downside I can think of is the lacking co-op in Arena mode. It would be super awesome if the 2nd player could also be a custom character (online would be a plus but local co-op is fine) but unfortunately players 2, 3, and 4 are limited to goons you hire and kit out. They don't get access to the same perks as you do. I know that would be an overpowered balancing nightmare, but with some enemy scaling it can be a ton of fun! Hopefully this game gets expansions that could expand on the multiplayer. Overall, this game is still a smash hit despite that co-op gripe I have. Also it would be nice if controller players would have their button prompts reflected in the UI, but mouse and keyboard play feels really good.

Edit: Controller prompts do show for co-op players, but I noticed in the tutorial when I tried using my controller for player 1, all the tutorial prompts were only in mouse and keybindings, so it kinda soft locked me in the dual wielding section because I couldnt figure out the controller buttons to do so. It could have been a visual bug, but MKB just feels better so I stick to that for solo play anyways.

Honestly, without repeating the "its halo and portal" schtick, this game is just a ton of fun. There's a slight issue with massive lag on starting a game, but it evens out real fast with minimal spikes. I'm looking forward to how this game turns out when the beta ends, and I can't recommend it enough, it all feels really balanced from what I've played so far!

Dead Rising is a classic zombie game that's goofy and fun. I've played it so much my Xbox actually died in the past (7 day survivor in unlimited mode is a rough achievement back in the day). My only gripe is saving the actual survivors, they are SO dumb, and kill themselves CONSTANTLY, but that's part of the challenge and fun. Spending 3 days in a mall, running around with no break, juggling the story with a band of idiots that would forget to breathe if you didn't remind them. If you find yourself struggling with the story, start up a new game and run over zombies for 3 days to get the Zombie Genocider achievement and escape. The Megabuster is one of the best weapons in the game and will give you a lot of breathing room for time because it kills the bosses in 1-5 hits. BE CAREFUL WITH THE MEGABUSTER THOUGH, your dumb as rocks survivors WILL nosedive in front of you as you shoot the megabuster, and die immediately. Save often and have fun killing zombies in over the top ways!

Despite my meager 10 hours on steam, I have been a PSO2 player since 2012 on the JP server. I had always hoped and believed that it would come to EN servers to the point of being the butt of jokes for my friends. But 8 years later and it finally happened! This game is fantastic, the character creator is great, all the classes are pretty unique, there's tones of events in both the lobby and the open land, and the controls are smooth.

If you've never played Phantasy Star Online or Universe, it's a Pseudo MMO that plays like a hack and slash game. I say Pseudo MMO because only the ARKS lobby is the true MMO area, the free roam mission zones are instanced with you, your party, and a couple other parties if you are in a multi party zone. The only time you'll see hundreds of players in a space is the lobby or urgent quests. While you are in a quest, you can alter your camera angle from a free floating camera, to over the shoulder camera with a reticle for players with a ranged class. You can string together photon arts (skills) and techniques (magic) into your combos to rack up big damage. Overall the game is very straight forward and fun with friends.

If you played the windows release last month, don't worry, the steam version is so much more stable, less lag, and won't nuke itself off your hard drive after restarting or updating your PC. Just make sure you log into the Windows store version first to get your account link code before you delete it off your system so you can keep all your stuff when you log into Steam. I made the mistake of uninstalling first, not realizing you needed to grab a link code. I figured the game would allow you to just input a username and password to sign in.

Overall, this game rocks, it's constantly being updated, it's FREE, and a major expansion is coming around next year where EVERYTHING is getting overhauled to look and feel next gen.

I've been following Vanripper's stuff for a while now, been a fan of his animations and various art. This game is really fun, characters are cute and funny, puzzles are challenging. Sure it's short, but it's free and a hell of a good time. I can't wait to see what he makes next! Maybe a sequel? Like HEAVENTAKER???

Years ago my friends and I had to choose between this and FF14 for an MMO for us all to play, they chose this, and I went to Final Fantasy. I MADE THE WRONG CHOICE. Don't get me wrong, Final Fantasy 14 is amazing, and beautiful, but I'm more of an active combat player rather than a turn based and this fits my play style way more (and it goes without saying that playing with friends is way more fun than by yourself). The graphics are solid, game play is great (its a bit of a change compared to skyrim but great once you get the hang of it), story is decent, you can play without a membership if you don't want to pay 15 a month, and the customization is pretty solid. It's safe to say this game has consumed my life (I never stick with MMOs for long but this one has held my attention for the first time in a long while). If you like Elder Scrolls and have some friends to play with, nab the game, it's worth it.

At first I was worried that this would be yet another Dark Souls clone (I like dark souls but the market does feel over-saturated tbh) this game feels like something different. It has the best elements of Dark Souls mixed with Tenchu. No stamina, but the same strategic combat mechanisms focusing mainly on parrying and counters, but with a really solid stealth system. Best yet, no annoying Phantoms invading your game to screw with your progress. I couldn't begin to count the amount of time end level players would invade my game and kill me RIGHT after I died and lose a massive amount of souls. I'm not much of a PVP guy so this game is right up my alley.
