While the combat can be somewhat enjoyable, it also becomes very repetitive in time. Once you've figured out your "build", all that is required is the ability to dodge well and complete your skill chain. Beyond that, the graphics are fairly good for an older, top-down style game. The sound design is just average and will eventually become a little overwhelming. The story isn't very engaging, though the game does have some moments that are very engaging, but those moments are rare.

What's most disappointing is the sheer grind that is required in this game. While it's typical for Korean MMO's to adapt this kind of play style, it's not enjoyable in today's world unless you have a considerable amount of time to invest. You can however, substitute time with money, if you are willing to purchase items from the cash shop, sell them on the auction house and use those proceeds to purchase equipment upgrades.

Mortal Online 2 is a fantastic premise for a game that could be great in 1-2 years of more development, but is currently lacking in both balance and polish. It's simply not ready for release. It's player base consists of a dedicated group of players that are committed to the outlook for the game, but not it's future status. They simply play to keep development going and to, hopefully, reach the state of nirvana this game seeks to obtain. I waited until the final beta patch to review the game and was, frankly, disappointed. I currently have 2 accounts in the game, with over 600hrs committed between both and I struggle to play on release or wait a year until things are, hopefully, improved, to play again. I didn't want to leave a negative review but, i'll be honest, as of January 2022, now is not the time to play this game. Check back in a year and I hope the game, along with reviews, are updated to represent the state of what could be a great game.

A very, very solid foundation for a game that was quickly ruined due to little to no testing and a developer that is not in touch with it's playerbase. The rampant issues this game has had, followed by little to no attempt to fix, only patch, followed by more and more additions to the game that were a direct challenge to the type of game players had become used to and desired to see more of, have caused me to quit and leave a bad review.

The best thing for this game would have been another year in testing, but for now we should hope they take the next six months to continue to bleed players, but fix the underlying issues with the game and then re-rerelease the game with fresh servers that do not allow transfers. 30-40% of the playerbase that has quit would come back if they knew issues were corrected and that their server wouldn't be affected by all the previous issues.
