Sony has reversed their dumbass decision to require PSN linking. WE DIVE TOGETHER!

Helldivers 2 is one of if not the best games to come out this year. It absolutely deserves a purchase, and plenty of your time. Get going Helldiver, those automaton scum won't eradicate themselves!, E710 to pump and managed democracy to spread!

I wish i could recommend the game right now, but Sony has pushed the requirement to link to a psn account regardless of platform several months AFTER launch, after we've already bought the game, after we're already hooked.

Helldivers 2 is fun, it really is. The devs desperately need to slow down on content releases to fix major bugs, for example ALL DoT effects have only worked for 1/4 players in a lobby i believe since *launch*, and it's just now supposedly fixed in the next patch.
There's also a stinger-style rocket launcher that's had horrible consistency issues with its lock on, (again since *launch*) that's rendered it barely usable.

Bugs can be fixed. That's almost always true. What might not be fixable is a mandate from a publisher to gather up data from players via forced account linking, especially with a company that has such a history of data breaches like Sony.

Publishers are leeches. Arrowhead made a really, really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good game and i cannot recommend you buy it unless the decision to force linking with a psn account is reversed. Don't support surprise rug pulls like this, unfortunately that means pulling your support for both Arrowhead and Sony for the time being.

Oh, and if this isn't orders from Sony, but Arrowhead itself deciding to do this for some obscene reason? That's even worse. I'll update this review if anything changes.

Very, very, very weird, and only around 2-3 hours long if you don't get hard stuck at any puzzles.

That being said, it's important to have a good VR Experience every now & then to break the monotony that can come with normal VR games, and this is one of the best to just sit down and say "what" at.
