>want to play Kislev
>can't play Kislev or any of the new factions outside of the tutorial prologue without a full game price DLC
Fastest uninstall in my life. Wish I could refund.

Got it for the customization. The customization is nowhere near as good as you might think (some of the options are really limited), and if you're not amazing at fighting games, the few lobbies you'll find will just consist of you being pummeled repeatedly by some sweaty weeb and his generic waifu. Wish I could have refunded it. This piece of crap cost me 60 bucks.

Needs custom units and factions in multiplayer. Still recommend though.

Played a good amount of this game as a kid. The remaster isn't anything spectacular by modern standards, but it makes the game look pretty much how I remember it, which is honestly good enough. As for the game itself, it's as fun as ever. I quite enjoy the experience of waging a guerrilla war against the EDF across the six sectors of the Tharsis Plateau. As always, this game's strongest point is its destruction, which is ample and impressive even by modern standards. The destruction of strategic targets and whatever the hell else you feel like blowing up or smashing with a hammer is always satisfying.

The difficulty level is also challenging while also being fair. If you want a more tactical experience, try the higher difficulties, but I generally go with Normal for a balance of tactics and casual play. If you just want to feel like a hammer-wielding demigod, go with the Casual difficulty.

The story is pretty generic by current standards, but it has a few interesting aspects. Some of the aesthetic choices might seem a little odd to some players, but they're never so odd that you can't accept them.

Overall, I'd say a 7 or 8 out of 10.

Of course it's not historically accurate whatsoever, but I have seen many worse protrayals of each faction. They at least make things not look retarded. They actually did a good job making it all look cool. Female characters aren't really sexualized either.

All in all, it's good fun, as long as you're not fighting Shugoki.

I originally didn't recommend this because it was fairly new and didn't have many mods for it, but now that the modding community has fully fleshed it out, I can say I support this version over the original.

I know there are a lot of people yelling "Russian bias!", but truthfully, I've performed similarly with other factions. This was also the case when I played World of Tanks. It's more prevalent in WoT, as it's HP-based and all kinds of unrealistic. However, OH MY GOD SHERMAN OP!!

Anyway, off the topic of WoT, yeah, Soviet tanks in the first tier wreck other factions. Do you want to know why? It's because during the interwar era, the Soviets had some of the best tanks in the world. In fact, the T-26 was actually very good for its time. All tanks of the era had thin armor, but Russian tanks were notable for their larger firepower. While having thin armor, it's not nearly thin enough for the Pz2's sucky weapon to penetrate it. RIP tier 1 German tanks.

When having moved up through the tiers, I instantly had a problem. As soon as German tanks started getting bigger guns, I was dying a lot more. When I began encountering Pz4's, I got wrecked.

Haven't seen much of the 'Murican tanks in action yet, since I haven't played this for a while since I got a new computer.

By the way:

If you want realism, go for 'Realistic' or 'Simulator' battles, NOT ARCADE. Plenty of people made this mistake and said WT had sci-fi flight models.

If you just want to play a plane game and shoot at people, play arcade.

The same applies to tanks.
