Literally only an hour long but a very chill hour with simple mechanics and lovely high def pixel art to look at

Feels really smooth. Combat is simple enough to not overwhelm but the abilities, enemy types, absorbed powers and build variety give you plenty to think about.

You can't really make a super powerful build in the time the demo gives you but there's potential there for stacking various passives together to make some really fun synergy

Hilarious, charming and surprisingly challenging. The tools are all really goofy and fun to use.

The voice chat is the top feature though, it adds so much immersion to your journey with your friends and the sound design for echoes is really well done.

One of the best video games I've ever played. The gameplay, story, art direction and score are all phenomenal.

Good core tennis gameplay that can create some really satisfying moments and tough back and forth matches. However the career mode (which is the main reason to play these games, right?) is thin and incredibly frustrating. It's already a let down that you can only play one tournament a month even though in reality there is a tennis tournament almost every week but the real issue is the terrible stamina system.

In theory a stamina value that is affected by travel and how much exertion you put into a match is a good idea. However when that stamina mechanic means that entering a 3 match 250 level tournament with 95+ stamina will leave you at less than 20 by the end with an injury to boot (meaning taking the next 1-2 months off) is frankly ridiculous.

Don't get this is you're looking to experience a virtual tennis career on the pro tour. Maybe get it if you just want to play exhibition matches, which I what I'll be doing from now on, if i play anymore at all.

Had to fight the urge to brute force the puzzles a couple of times.

A fun couple of hours with lots of charm.

Insanely fun, the weapons feel great, calling in air strikes never gets old, shockingly varied enemies with only 2 factions so far and more are coming.

This game has my favourite version of the Arkham style combat, the Nemesis system gives you great emergent stories and the actual story of the game is great too.

Playing a game about losing people while my grandad was in end of life care wasn't my best times decision. This game though can deliver on some of the most charming moments I've had in a long time and some of the most gut wrenching.

It's beautiful, the soundtrack is fantastic and the "just one more task" feeling is so effective.

A simple concept extremely well executed. The feeling of exploration is great, the weapons are satisfying, the progression gives you something to keep working towards. The class synergy is excellent and every ability is unique and useful in its own way.
