unique heist and actually has a fair bit of randomisation

Updating review as of Boys in Blue. Game has come quite far, and the new heist shows they are going in the right direction, however still definitely needs more things fixed / changed. I can say though, if you had a bad time at launch, you may be surprised at how far it has come. I at least recommend people give it a try now, or at least once medic bag has finished. If everything they say they are going to change comes to fruition (which so far has been happening, if a bit slowly) then I think the game has a good chance at being fun for most players.

Very challenging, but gives a great sense of reward with each fight. A very unique and interesting art style, great graphics, wide variety of enemies and fighting styles, and greatly replayable. Also its finally a from game that has a plot that can be followed without a wiki trying to explain every location and reason for every characters motives. After doing everything possible in the game, I still want to play it more. It's a shame there likely will never be a sequel.

I think this is the first time I can say that I have been greatly dissapointed in a game that I also really love. I decided to re buy this game on sale, and even with the new cutscenes and content for the story in the windows edition, it is still one of the most flawed and rushed experiences i've ever seen in a triple A game. It is not a bad story if you want to go into detail with the movie, anime, and spend time understanding the motives of characters by reading into it on fan pages or other sites, however the game alone leaves many questions unanswered. To put it simply, the game play is a lot of fun, the voice acting, while very exaggerated still is very fitting for the characters, and the side missions and map layout is some of the best i've ever seen. This game could have been phenomenal, but with the lack of a lot of critical information, some characters just don't even feel like anything more than a filler so the story doesn't end too quick. Hell even the main villain's motives don't make much sense without the DLC. However at the same time the game has a charm, and that charm with the amazing game play is enough for me to say I love the game. It's a shame it didn't take it's full potential, however what it did is enough for me to recommend it at any price.

Not too sure why there are so many people complaining about time savers, i'm dong fine without them. The game is vast and so open that it is easy to get resources WITHOUT getting bored. Even though a small grind may be needed, it doesnt feel like it because of the fun that comes from pillaging ships and defeating anyone who hunts you down. I'm only ten hours in, level 17 and have upgraded my ship nearly half way before it is maxed out. Because of this I have not gotten far in the story yet, but from what I have seen it is a massive step up from origins rather poorly put together plot. Some people may say that I will change my mind later on and get annoyed by the time savers, but from how amazing this game has been so far, i highly disagree.

Almost takes away the pain of not being loved
