Horrible new player experience, movement is janky af, and so is the shooting.
Another case of devs mistaking "difficulty" for lack of qol and polish in general.

There could be a decent game here, the setting is great, but systems and gameplay wise it's just not there yet. I really tried as you can see from the hours played but in the end it was mostly because i'm a stubborn bastard and not because anything was particularly fun. Running through the same areas over and over before you get to the maps you actually want to play gets super repetitive and annoying, it wouldn't be an issue if fighting was fun, but the shooting and engagements are very clunky , they're super rough. So, sneaking around and opening the same exact boxes over and over again, avoiding npcs cause fighting them is too risky/a chore got old kinda fast. I get the whole "you're not that guy" narrative/meme surrounding the game but eventually, "not being that guy" at least to some extent, ends up being flat out boring.

If you don't like this you're a REJECT.

Balance has come a long way and they improved everything a lot, while keeping the new feel of the combat so i'll have to change my review to positive. Sorry ggg i wasn't familiar with your game.

It could have been a great game, and it still can, unfortunately devs are making one bad design decision after the other. Until leveling and item upgrading changes get rolled back this review will stay negative and i won't be playing.

So, launch arrived, they've put an even worse gacha system for progression, it's not p2w cause you can't buy the lootboxes (yes, you read that right: progression in lootboxes) but it's still terrible, plus some other questionable gameplay changes and bots everywhere.

It's so sad, but it is what it is i guess.

I'll start by saying it doesn't really deserve a negative review BUT i'm just trying to balance things out cause 40k fans on high copium are trying to make this game sound like it's the second coming of jesus (or the emperor himself) which it's not.

It has a good albeit short campaign, looks good and the gameplay is decent.
Unfortunately the replay value is very poor with the coop operations being VERY repetitive and not very fun to play on the hardest difficulties where enemies are spongy and ammo is scarce, they end up being more tedious than anything, really. The whole space marine fantasy goes straight out the window.

Pvp is very tagged on, very bare bones, couple maps, functional modes just to say "we have the bare minimum" and that's that. Nothing groundbreaking.
Classes balance is obviously garbage and hit detection is ATROCIOUS, if you like getting damaged well after 2 seconds you get around corners this one's for you.

I got the big boy edition, and if i were to go back, i'd just get the normal one. The game is decent but not worth 100€ and the extras you get certainly aren't either.

Overly convoluted farming mechanics (kill that to get this, to open this, to go do this, and maybe drop that - kinda deal, it's mentally exhausting).

Very repetitive, no procedurally generated content unlike warframe.

Wasn't a fan of the whole colossi deal, i prefer mobbing over big spongy bosses with gimmicky patterns and mechanics.

A bit on the expensive side imo but at least the devs give a ♥♥♥♥
