It's just a ragebait+goonerbait combo of a game that has no soul or purpose in its gameplay other than being needlessly diffucult while also giving you something to oogle at.

Controls are extremly clunky and half-assed, half of the games diffuculty relies on manual saving and trial and error, with your progress can be lost in an hour as opposed to typical 16 minutes these games usually provide

Don't bother buying something like this, you dont need to pay money to see some good quality tits and ass, save your cash on something that deserves it and go outside

Well Valve you did it. You released an RTX upgrate to a game and it didn't brick the games performence. For those who don't know Portal and its popular mod Portal Prelude got RTX upgrades and they brick the games performence and had many issues attached to them however HL2 RTX Demo isn't that at all

It's a graphical update that runs well and looks absoluetly fantastic, Demo includes Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt and they both look amazing and even goes as far as adding new sound effects, animations and models to guns.

I guess my one criticism here would be that If we are gonna go this far into remastering this game rather than slapping RTX on it and call it a day can we also try to fix some of the original games bugs as they are here as well couse I got stuck in few walls during my short time in the demo

Overall this is a promising demo and an RTX project to a valve game that doesnt wanna make me rip my head off, I'll be gladly waiting for its full release

One of the best remakes ever made in history of gaming period.

I can't even do my signature let's compare the og and remake here couse almost everything is the same. This is essentially Resident Evil 1 but has some of its tacky sections fixed along with bunch of new content, 2 new control options for different kind of players, adjustable diffuculty via pickups, brand new threats story beats and gameplay events, this is PERFECT

If you want a perfect way to play Resident Evil 1 than go for this, its truly the definitive way to experience this game

I am very VERY suprised this even happened considering the 2 games in this collection but holy moly this is a VERY pleasant suprise, welcome back to the edgy phase of Lara Croft

Remastered Stuff
Same as the previous collection but this time OG graphics can be viewed on 60FPS which I was quite taken aback by not being in this in the previous collection, there is lot more QoL changes where Lara's movement feels much more like LAU games ESPECIALLY on the modern controls, graphics feel more polished and detailed as well overall a net improvment over the previous collection

Tomb Raider:Last Revelation
The supposed grand finale of the franchise and a very divisive title, whenever I hear about this game either people love it or hate it and Im on side that likes it, Its a fun title that very pushes the envalope foward with decent pacing until you reach Cairo becouse beyond that point devs try so hard to be clever that the game just stops making sense but that's only a small portion there is a lot to like in this game, new mechanics are fun -except the rope- majority of the puzzles are fun and creative and the game looks fantastic along with the first ever attempt to make a serious story for the franchise which while there is a title in this collection that I hold dearly for TRLR still has a good premise I enjoy, fun and divisive title is the perfect way to put it

Tomb Raider:Chronicles
I have no idea why this is here ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ remake this ♥♥♥♥ not remaster it, its still boring plain and uninspired, its a lazy cashgrab with a facelift get it out of my face

Tomb Raider:Angel of Darkness
AOD has a very infamous history of being rushed and unfinished so when I heard this collection announced I was geniuenly terrified by this game but oh my god this is...this is beatiful...I can't even--like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ its AOD but improved and PLAYABLE like this right here alone is worth paying money to this collection, its playable and has some of the cut content restored this is beatiful this a class act of a remaster, best story of the franchise along with one of the best atmosphere of it as well this is a remaster done right and Im green litting this %10000

While I praise AOD for being this beatiful and games being overall fun -NOT YOU TRC-, this a collection of games with mixed ideas and to do that sadly I can't recommend this game on full price, its good and AOD is done super well but...last parts of the LR are a chore and TRC is...there so get this on sale, don't pay the full price

If you told me these gems were going to get remastered I wouldve laughed at your face and told you to consider comedism but nope they are real and stunning like the day I met them

Remastered Stuff
The collection offers all 3 games a gianormous facelift and makes everything shine and keep the aesthatic the original games were going for with a lot of improvments, movement is now global across titles allowing all of the QoL changes each title introduced to be intrgrated into the game, the game is now 60 fps which give the tank controls better reaction time and speaking of controls there is now option to play the game on modern controls and they feel pretty damn good, I beat all 3 titles with them and honestly prefer them at certain points so huge props to devs for making them work

There is also NG+ for all these games -minus the expansions- but I find them more artifical than fun, just give the players option to use save crystals without all the extra ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that borderline ruins these games, I personally hate save crystals but I know a good deal of people would like to play with them but unless you are planning to %100 these games, NG+ is just a artifical chore

Tomb Raider
The game everything began and frankly the simpliest and easiest one to beat for the very reason, don't get yourself fooled couse Tomb Raider can still be a harsh game but out of all 3 this one has the most natural diffuculty curve and with remasters also including expansions packs you can test what you learned in Unfinished Business, overall a balanced title with a tiny pacing issue in Greece

Tomb Raider 2
One of my all time favorites, the game is just as beatiful and fun to play as I remember but compare to the first game this is more of an action flick, there is lot more focus on human enemies and modern tombs, while Maria Doria absouletly OBLITIRITES the pacing once you get past it its improvment after improvment even at times they feel quite rushed

Tomb Raider 3
I don't think I ever died this much in my virgin runs of soulslike games, this is easily one of the most brutal games I ever played, sometimes for good sometimes for horrible reasons unlike previous games that gently ups the challange, the SECOND you enter your first big area the game opens up to well EVERYWHERE, you can go to wrong way...die, finally find the right place to go then die again. It's an incredibly ambitious title that feels fullfilling when its done right but feels horrendous when done poorly, its a mixed bag with many great ideas and while fun its easily the weakest out of the 3 here
Also pick Nevada first...pick the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nevada first

Overall this is a collection that is absoluetly worth its price, games are fun and remastered beatfiully with many QoL upgrades and a brand new control scheme If you are long time Tomb Raider fan or you are looking for a decent action adventure title this is a bang for your buck

Gonna be honest I would've had a tough time recommending this game If it was a more than its current asking price but for 3 dolars you get a short indie horror sidescroller with an interesting premise

Clearly inspired by old school horror games like resident evil and silent hill, house of velez part 1 is a gorefest horror title that got my attention after youtube recommending me its game overs while I was watching some old point click games and made me wonder what the hell this game is about

Controls
Normally I would jump into the game and talk about the controls while describing the gameplay but for House of Velez I have to talk about this first couse what do you mean a PC Only title requires a controller to play? Specifiaclly a Xbox controller as inputs dont change in fact game breaks and changes its button mappings when you use anything else and HOV already walks on thin line of clunky and smoothness so this is the LAST thing you would want to happen to you, thankfully steam input exists and fixes this mess making game runs just fine albeit with a weird detection radious with its enemies

As for the game itself
It's a short endevor featuring everything a traidinoal side scroller horror would have even going far as insantly killing you when you get caught infact as I mentioned above the games creative mortal kombat fatality levels of deaths are usually what draws people to play this game couse just like me they wanna know what the hell this game is about

The hell this game is about Lily Velez going back to her family home to investigate the accusions regarding her father only to be pulled in unspeakable horrors, you navigate through these horrors by solving puzzles which are pretty well thought out despite being simple and the atmosphere is perfect for a title that aims for 90s cgi gore horror

Only drawback here is that Part 2 is sold seperaetly and Part 1 is what like 20 minutes? If we calculate mastering the main stealth mechanic of the game (dbd skill check) and the optinoal exploring in the opening I say it should be around 25 minutes albeit my playtime got bit extended couse I committed the unspeakable sin of using a PS5 controller without steam input and for that this review is for the 25 minutes you get for 3 dolars

And honestly for a price that low If you like 90s tradinoal side scroller horror titles and got a controller to spare I'll say give the game a go

Fear Effect is one of those cult classic PS1 titles that got released around the time Resident Evil came out as its fixed camera angle gameplay was something a lot of developers wanted to capitilize on and few managed to stand out like Fear Effect without being labeled as "Resident Evil Clone", while I would love sit here and admire this game for this entire review I have to take into account that this is an emulation YES not a part but an emulation

What this version Brings to the table
Since its an emulation there is sadly no upscaled models or anything like that, it pretty much runs the game like an emulator and gives you the ability to use Widescreen, CRT filters, save states and rewind which are all pretty handy though I personally only used widescreen and played the game as it intended these options are great for players to have but feels low key lazy since I can do this by setting up a regular emulator myself

The Game Itself
Fear Effect is a cult classic action horror title that focuses on puzzle solving and occasionally killing bunch of enemies, its uniquness comes from 3 things, an all anti hero cast, game only healing you at certain points and being one of the rare fixed camera titles where enemies are actually ranged

Puzzles are fun and well thought out and combat...functinoal but very easy to exploit lets just say that all in all making a really fun experience with my two complaints being combat is bit too easy to exploit at times and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PS1 jank that requires you to play the game on a certain diffuculty to get its best ending honestly one of the best things that is left behind as games evolved

Overall If this was a port or a remaster I would say get it at full price but its not so If you plan to play Fear Effect in its most accessible version in this day and age then I say wait for a sale as this is straight up an emulation

WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BLOODRAYNE BETRAYAL: FRESH BITES IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME BLIND CHECK OUT THE REMASTERED STUFF AND OVERALL SECTION

BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is a remaster of the BloodRayne: Betrayal originally released with polarizing reviews due to its rough content, polish and no hype since everyone wanted a third BloodRayne game instead of a spin-off however YEARS later the game got remastered and as you can see from the thumbs up it worked but still with its flaws so lets dive in shall we?

Remastered Stuff
The game obviously looks better and more polished with more responsive controls and better timings for combo attacks BRBFB offers a 2D Castlevania style hack'n slash gameplay but one of the biggest improvments is the diffuculty. The original Betrayal was ASS becouse the diffuculty was so absurdly high that it felt like something you would unlock after beating the game so for a first timer the game was misreable but now thats fixed you can choose either new revamped diffuculty mode where the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FAIR or the torture mode that I don't have problem with anymore now that its optional giving us the better hack'n slash experience we could've had back in 2011 but better late than never right?

Story
Story of the Betrayal is my new least favorite thing about the game now that diffuculty is adjusted due to the fact its not a sequel or a prequel or a side story. It's an alternate take on how Rayne defeats Kagan, it's quite litreally the inferior version of Kagan's demise that tries TOO hard to be Castlevania. It even has a Raven companion that later becomes your power -I'll talk about it in the gameplay section- that is just a big mess I mean with the Fresh Bites, Laura Bailey is back to voicing Rayne but thats quite litreally it. I overall don't like the story that much and I wish it was a prequel or a little tie in for a sequel considering this was made during the same time as the cancelled sequel

Gameplay
Gameplay is a Castlevania hack n slash style gameplay with lots of combos and tools to play with, from exploding enemies with your bite or use the range to takedown enemies and even throw them into envorimental traps both as a puzzle solving tool or a stylish kill. Being a 2D Slasher it also has a score system the faster and stylish you kill them the better grade you get and honestly with Fresh Bites making the controls feel better the combat feels really fun and engaging except the shadow parts where you can't properly see enemies those can go ♥♥♥♥ themselves. If you are not killing people you are platforming and puzzle solving. there is no real puzzle solving really you just destroy stuff and fight switches its a slasher platformer not a adventure title. While platforming still feels slightly off its much better in Fresh Bites and except the final level of the game its pretty fun to jumping around and explore to areas to find secrets and open doors. The Raven companion and power that I was talking about before is Flappy Bird...Im serious its boring uninspired and unwelcome and its even crucial in the final boss of the game and I hate it that I wish it wasn't the part of the game but thankfully its not used that much so we are good on those terms and keep jumping around and murdering people.

Overall
Overall I have mixed feeling about BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites. It's a MASSIVE improvment over the original game where If this was the review of the original game I would say skip it however Fresh Bites fixes and polishes a lot of stuff and the diffuculty select making it fair while still keeping the games intended brutal side is an amazing touch but there is still the damn story that I can't stand couse BloodRayne 2's way of telling Rayne's search for Kagan was so much better than this so my general recommendation for this game would be to wait for a sale. If you wanna give this game a shot don't buy it on full price, wait for a sale then grab it once it enters one.

WARNING THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BLOODRAYNE 2: TERMINAL CUT IF YOU WANNA PLAY THE GAME BLIND THEN SKIP TO THE OVERALL SECTION

BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut is a remaster of the BloodRayne 2 adding gameplay improvments HD Graphics and compability to higher operating systems for a fresh and improved experienced so let's dive in shall we?

Story
Story is a improvment from the first game where's first games story was more like a B Movie plot this one feels more refined but sadly feels bit unfinished like certain sections feels like there was more to do but aren't there which considering the short development time this game has that was proably the case but even with that story is pretty enjoyable Rayne hunts down her vampire sisters then later finds out Kagan is alive and well and seeks to kill him to its a lot more personal and brutal story while still keeping BloodRayne's charm with its dark edgy envoirments and one liners and the way enemies talk and Rayne's vampire siblings look really good too I really love that their desings and with later parts of the game being world literal hell it works a great action horror hack n slash story that I like

Gameplay
BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut has a VERY ambitious gameplay it ditches the button mash strife dodge everything super acrobatic and destroy people to complex targeted combo based athletic combat with layers which actually feels pretty nice EXCEPT the camera, camera can be a pain to deal with in tight spaces but thankfully BloodRayne 2 is a very wide game so it doesnt get in the way that much each boss is unique and repeating bosses are reduced to minibosses that you kill occasioanly here and there with the ranged options now have more depth instead ditching a gun when its empty the guns are now mounted on Rayne and needs to be reloading by feeding them you simply jump on someone and then press the fire button or a button before for more fancy move and feed your guns and If the guns are empty it drains Rayne's health each time you shoot, Rage meter also changed where now being more brutal with your attacks gives you more rage points and BloodRage can be activated any time and Rayne also has bunch of other powers you can use later on in the game using this bar now If this was the combat I will be more than happy with it however there are 2 big flaws. Firstly Rayne can now Fatality her opponents instead of sucking them dry giving you rage points depending on their remaining health however these fatalities are ridiclously op you can just jump onto people constantly and decapitated them to end combat I mean sure there are enemies you cant feed but just shoot them to death and you are pretty much good to go secondly is the new chain, chain is no longer a way to feed instead you toss your enemies anywhere you want with this bad boy its fun it works but really clunky in general and I dont like it. Rayne can also get carnage points and unlock new modes for her guns through story and upgrade the said type but constantly using them, Carnage points are delivered when you envorimental kills or extreme brutalities with rage attacks that once filled upgrades your health and rage meter
Level desing is mostly fine with couple of the levels being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like the park with the grinder and the blood pumping machiene but pass those and they are fun linear levels that are very much enjoyable

Overall
Overall BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut adds a lot of improvments to visuals and performence and just a damn fun game in the general while its not polished and addicting as the first one it still is pretty good game that I wish it got a sequel during its prime but sadly that didnt happen due to Majesco's fails that affected Terminal Reality downright with the next entry we are covering being the final nail in the coffin but Im getting off topic If you wanna fun hack n slash game with a power fantasy vampire lady go for it pay the full price its worth it

WARNING: THIS REVIVEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BLOODRAYNE: TERMINAL CUT IF YOU WANNA PLAY THIS GAME FULLY BLIND READ ONLY REMASTERED STUFF AND OVERALL SECTION

BloodRayne: Terminal Cut is a remaster of the game BloodRayne that was originally released on 2002 to basiaclly every system their budget allowed you play as a blood sucking dhampir Rayne who's on a mission with Brimstone to take down Nazis as they are operating a cultic research on an ancient relic let's find out If this remaster is worthy for our time now shall we?

Remastered Stuff
Before we talk about the game let's talk about what the remasters do it adds number of graphical improvments and resolutions to the game and make the game smoother to play and be compatible with modern systems as Legacy version of BloodRayne was struggling hard on modern system due to compability issues while these are great changes they are 3 things that are wrong with it.
1-) In some areas If the Shadows are at max the game has performence issues which is something you would not expect from a remastered title
2-) Some of the logos are still blurry for some reason? but that can be fixed with a mod right over here[www.nexusmods.com]
3-) Putting the game on a wide screen resoloution doesn't alling the HUD so they get stuck in the screen while this didn't bother me while playing there are people I know who can be bothered by this so just like the UI this can be fixed by a mod located right over here in this sparkly text[www.nexusmods.com]
These 3 issues aside the remaster adapts the game into a modern system and allows for a smoother play with wide options to choose for your desired specs so now let's get into the actual game and ENTER THE SPOILER TERROTOIRY

Act 1: Lousianna
Act 1 takes place in Lousianna where the Rayne begins on her first Brimstone mission with her friend and mentor Mynce to stop a disease that mutates humans. The game for some reason lore dumps you after the tutorial and has a very jarring tutorial level for that reason and that aside the Louisianna sections are bit meh. Plot gets introduced into the game very slowly as you learn about the diease from the start then learn more details and why it happens later on. You can consider act 1 as a whole big introduction stage. The game allows you to grip its controls and mechanics while giving you fairly easy bossfights with the final chapter of this act being a test of skill on a boss fight that tests everything the player learned so far before progressing them further. This is fine for first timers and they would have good chuck of fun here while playing the game but for replay playthoughts Lousianna can feel bit dounting to progress so it's not that perfect as well

Act 2: Argentina
Now this is where the story opens up where pretty much learn that the man who tried to kill Rayne in Lousianna is the leader of a Nazi Group GGG which litreally translates to Anti-Ghost Group. Brimstone basiaclly assings Rayne to infiltrate the Nazi base and murder everybody it's not like Rayne is the type of vampire who feasts on you after seducing you she got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ harpoon for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake masqurade violation who? This is where the game fully opens up you got open ended levels that can be progressed in any order you like with boss fights that can be hard to take down or bafflingly easy couse If you manage to behind any of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ except Von Blut, Rayne can litreally eat them and gain health from it while killing them slowly. The game also does a very good job at making you feel like a living weapon without making you too overpowered as while Rayne can be easily killed especially on harder diffuculties when she is overwhelmed but can also destroy everyone in her path with correct positioning and targeting which is why Im gonna touch up the games healing mechanic now. Basiaclly Rayne being half vampire means she can suck the people around her to regain health If you jump on them normally without harpoon you can even use them as human shields. This is a great way of healing the player as it forces them to be on combat constantly while also giving them tools to brutalize everyone in her path. It's not like you can't escape either Rayne jumps comicilly high while having high enough movement speed to strafe around enemy melee attacks so If you can't feed you can just bail out. During the middle stages of Argentina we get introduced with the Daemites a creature only consisting of head and tail that posseses people just to feel pain. They don't want to dominate the world or protect some shiny relic they geniuenly wanna feel pain. Since these Nazi idiots woke them during their Tomb Raiding session Rayne also has to fight them their base form is relativly easy to take down Rayne cuts them up pretty eaisly but If they posses someone they can be really scary as they are immune to your harpoon attacks and move and attack very fast. If you somehow managed to kill the host first you can actually feed on their bodies before they collapse despite them having no necks....interesting anywho Rayne gets an artifact and blows the entire place off before heading to the final act

Act 3: Germany
Act 3 takes place in an ancient Castle where Rayne tells us its a place where nightmares are born this is where the final enemy types make an appereance Mecha Nazis(You can't make this ♥♥♥♥ up) and vampires that turned into perfect killers. They easily the hardest enemy to take down and can overwhelm Rayne pretty easily If you play sloppy making them real punishing enemies but with the use of Rayne's acrobatics and every gun you found on the ground Rayne can take them down like swiss cheese. This ♥♥♥♥♥ doesnt reload btw once it's empty she just tosses them and looks for a new one making the combat extremly hyper without ever giving a chance to slow down which is a good thing in my opinion however the 2 final bosses of the game cannot be said other wise. One of these final bosses is immune to Rayne's blade attacks and has to be killed ranged despite blades being her signature weapon while other can be cutdown in a ridiclously fast speed If you have BloodRage ready to go which is basiaclly a ♥♥♥♥ all button that gives you more powerfull attacks and allows you to murder everyone in your path. Once Rayne defeats them she goes back to her own goals and the game fades to the credits

Overall
Overall BloodRayne: Terminal Cut is a pretty fun and great remaster that while has its issues can be easily bypassed with certain tweaks. The mechanics, Rayne's charm and the story despite being mediocore still being interesting enough to stick around makes this a really fun hack n slash experience you won't wanna miss out so I highly recommend BloodRayne: Terminal Cut on its full price If you decide to try the game yourself

Thanks for Reading
