I buy games blindly, usually based on their artstyle and vibes, which both are f*ckin hella for NO-SKIN. I feel a younger me, who was very into this specific type of 'horror', would've fallen in love with this game, the way I did with titles such as Cultist Simulator. If you are a teenage horror-nerd, get this game, it will change you I reckon.

I've also learned recently that I quite enjoy roguelikes (which, famously, can be literally any type of game provided it loops one way or another), and this one does manage to scratch that itch. It's fun exploring, and learning the secrets and story of this place, provided you are already into that kind of thing. There is some repetitive dialogue for a few of the encounters, but that is a small criticsm I have as it loses you at most a few seconds every time.

Honestly, just get this game, it's not expensive, and it's a fun ride.

I will start off by saying that the rats dying, no matter how mutated the poor freaks look is very sad and I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP THE CYBORG OTHER THAN BY FEEDING IT RATS.

Anyways, I've come to find recently that I quite enjoy roguelikes, and this one seems quite promising, with a pretty fun gameplay loop, a design aesthetic I find quite pretty actually, and a sense of humour that is just incredibly funny to me. Lines such as "You have been selected, because you are a rat" just do it for me somehow, as well as the fact that you, as a regular rat, are being adressed personally by the voice, even taunting you a little if you get lost trying to find your way back to the start of the maze.

The music is my only gripe with the game, and I guess an addition of steam achievements would be nice to track progession, but honestly, it's superb other than that

If you like roguelikes, and can handle seeing these poor cute freaks die, try this game, big fun here, I'd reckon I'd fall in love with it even more if it was multiplayer, but that can be said about many games and is more of a personal preference than anything else.

Early Access Review
As someone who tends to buy games entirely blindly, without regard for whether or not I am familiar/am going to like the genre, purely based on aesthetics, and general vibe, I rarely get as lucky as I did with 9 Kings.

The game is a lovely little card-based roguelite, that I can geniuenly recommend after having played it nearly to completion after about 16 hours, the music is lovely, the overall artstyle is what drew me in the begin with, and the general different strategies to create absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken plots that scale up every single round, kept it fresh for me all the way through.

Give it a try! :}

EDIT: Why can I only have about 50 thousand rats at a time?? Fix this.

Overwatch 2 will likely never recover from it's botched release, the failed attempt at a campaign, and rather meh first couple of years, but, for the past 10 months the game has been pumping out new, high quality content every new season. The devs have regularly shifted around who is and is not strong at any given time, and the overall game is incredibly balanced (even if metal rank players might disagree, citing moira and junkrat of all characters as busted).

The main complaint people seem to have nowadays is the pricing and distribution of cosmetics, which while valid, honestly is pretty minor, and just shows how far the game has come.

Yeah yeah, the community could be nicer but if you don't want to, you can opt out of seeing or hearing any of their messages. And sure all have a couple of handful of heroes whom we do not like, and in NA and Europe you can get chatbanned for saying gl hf and gg too much (happened to me), but the game, frankly, is in the best state it has ever been. Most of my rounds are exciting and fun, people are actually quite decent on average, and there's a million different ways to approach the 40 or so characters which keeps things fresh even if you like me decide to only play two or three of them.

If you like slightly silly but extremely compettiive hero shooters, this is your game, there is no better alternative. If you liked the game back when everyone played it, you should give it a shot, relearn it, and have some fun with your friends.

Like the idea, love the design, the lore of both characters is cool and I like the parallel themes being explored, but the Killer gameplay is actually horrendous. She feels worse than she did on the PtB, her power frequently doesn't work, the dog gets stuck, it actually ignored survivors a BUNCH in my first couple of matches, going right through them.

This is another twins chapter, from cool lore through to the buggy gameplay probably finished with a major update coming in three years that's mostly going to get reverted.

Bissle frustrierend am Anfang weil man die ersten zich Runden oder so verkackt aber eigentlich macht das Spiel verdammt Bock, und mit 'ner so kleinen Community sieht man Leute ziemlich häufig in den Lobbys wieder :)

I didn't actually play this much Rocket League, my Laptop just once refused to turn it off for three days. Apart from that it's much fun, especially if you have no clue how actual football works, because you can just assume that everything is entirely lifelike.

At first everyone in my cities kept perishing, but then I discovered easy mode, and the game turned out to be the fun city building simulator (with a moderate to dismal chance of dying) that I hoped it would be.
