did I buy this,,,? I feel like it just appeared in my steam library one day,,, but I'm glad it did!

cool small little bullet hell that is geniuenly really fun and polished if very simple (which it has all the right to be). I feel like if you go to school and have a laptop and mouse this is probably gonna go hard.

This is aggro crab's first game in some places this shows with inexperienced game design, but considering this is a first game, it's kind of insane how fun it is. The gameplay loop of grabbing whatever you can find and throwing it at a minimum-wage goblin is extremly enjoyable, the overall atmosphere and ambience really suit this title and the art team has somehow manged to breathe some life into the dead coroporate style I believe they're trying to emulate, so I can forgive some minor design flaws just for that.

I'm reviewing this game just after finishing it which is definitively giving it some plus points. In terms of enjoyment It was probably the highest at start and finish, but that is not to say that it was bad in the middle, moreso that it has a to me slightly meh difficulty curve.
  • Music, style, and writing are definitively the game's strong point.

  • Bugs, while present, are few and far inbetween.

  • The overall gameplay loop is really fun imo.

I didn't know stealh games where this fun!

Story has some decent moral ambiguity which I am always a fan of, though I was spoiled to much of it by watching a playthrough back when the game released. I normally also quite dislike the addition of collectibles, but Aragami handles them well, by not just giving them an in-game purpose, but also by allowing you to unlock a way to reveal all of the scrolls using exactly those. The Music is also peak, easily one of my favourite video game soundtracks.

Going for all the Oni medals did have me running around a pile of corpses ding donging my bell trying to see if there were any survivors, but overall I enjoyed that every chapter had two (or if you really wanted to nitpick three) distinct playstyles that felt unique to themselves.

Biggest drawback as far as I can tell, is that guards seem to be bugged, where if they are in the detection animation and you teleport behind them to kill them, they insta kill you 80% of the time instead. This is absolutely also a skill issue on my end though, as I tend to rush things rather than wait and be patient.

As someone who doesn't really play games such as satisfactory or factorio, I probably lack the depth to review this game, but it made me feel smart and was geniuenly satisfying to 100% (which few games are in my experience because few devs put effort into creating achievements).

The amount of polish is insane considering this is early access, though I guess it does make up for it in brevity and comparative simplicity, as other games of this genre often take hundreds if not thousands of hours to complete in their entirety.

QoL Changes I'd enjoy:
- Allow players to move buildings around without destroying them, so you don't waste upgrades
- Speed up the early game somehow, I feel like I have to wait to start playing the game whenever I start anew
- Make it so supply missions don't give you tasks for stuff you are not producing, which is annoying especially on the seventh sector.
- Make it so you can move cables and pipes that are already placed down, with out backtracking entirely, again, mostly helpful for later (and I reckon future) sectors.
- Stop making buildings snap around when you try to place them, it is super annoying to have to delete a bunch of buildings a round a tiny space where you know your extractor or whatever is going to fit, just so you're allowed to place it, and then rebuild everything.

Overall score:

I remember getting this in a sale cos it was boarderline free, looked pretty, and then not touching it for a few months, and my god was that stupid of me. This is a beautiful little game with satisfying movement, alright fighting mechanics and a cute endearing story. If I ever have kids (not happening), I'd make them play this.

there's a lot of things to say about this game, so I'll just sum up some of my main points

Pros:
- Few games of this calliber are as casually queer as this one, not just in terms of characters, but in needlessly horny background art and ads and what not, which is geniuenly really nice
- The customisation in terms of character, but also one's overall approach to the game and individual missions is insane
- The radios and all the music is lit, at least 20 songs or so that I listen to, and have been listening to in my everyday for years
- Driving is really fun, idk why PROBABLY the fact that I get to listen to banger music, but the bikes are just hella (I don't use the cars tho cos I'm not a loser)
- The world feels really alive if you don't look too closely, but there is so much lore it's actually amazing

Cons:
- BUGS. They fixed A LOT of the stuff that was there on release, but that being said, there are still a lot of bugs, usually minor, with easy fixes, but occasionally gamebreaking
- Crashes. I have a relativvely high spec PC with a 4080ti (though I don't maintain it as well as I should), and I've had the game crash like, 9 times on me, which is once every 10 hours basically.
- The Frequent Flyer achievement suckssssss, I drove two real life hours around the Badlands with no success just to find that the last waypoint was in Watson.

Anyways, play the game, it's actually peak, if a bit flawed-

Phantom Liberty
YEA NO THIS IS PEAK. Much less technical issues, INCREDIBLE story, an actual scary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horror sequence ??? It's so pretty too, like, AURGH, play this.

I've played this years ago at this point, but I still fondly remember it every now and then, easily one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, both visually but also with the soundtrack, easily worth it's price and then some.
