It's Stardew Valley, who wouldn't like it?

At the start the game is quite fun, but as it goes on and you need to venture further and further out, it just becomes tedious. Grinding the same ingredient 15 times to go left a bit is just not very enjoyable.

I may give this another shot some day, but for now I don't recommend.

I never thought I would like an extraction shooter, but damn, Arc Raiders is good.

If you feel like you wouldn't like extraction shooters, then I would absolutely give Arc Raiders a try.

TLDR: Dispatch is a solid game. If you like short (7-8 hour) story games, pick it up.

Review contains minor spoilers

Dispatch manages to mix in funny and unserious moments with the serious ones pretty well. Personally, I liked the humour, but if you don’t, it will dampen the experience a lot. The animation is pretty good, although it does get choppy near the end at times.

The game does feel a little rushed, and it feels like things progress a little too quickly, especially at the end. It could have definitely used a couple extra episodes to flesh out the other characters.

Speaking of episodes, releasing 2 episodes a week was quite stupid. I was smart enough to wait until they were all released before playing it, but if I had to wait weeks between episodes, I would have given up before it got good.

As for meaningful choices, this is closer to something like Firewatch. You can’t really alter the story in a major way, but you can have some nice flavour and pick the characters you like. Personally, this isn’t a major issue for me, but it may turn some people off.

Weirdly enough for this telltale-like, the gameplay was my favourite element. It’s a significant improvement over “911 operator”, and I was always invested in it, even if it was a little easy at times. I would love an endless / campaign version of the gameplay.

The QTE’s were fine, except for the last fight, where I could not focus on the fight due to them. The hacking puzzles were also pretty good, but again not very hard. I only ever failed one, and that was the weird “match the signal” one where I just couldn’t find it.

I really got into the story in the middle, but the last 2 episodes were a bit of a let down. Not quite bad, but not as good as what came before.

Overall, I think it's absolutely worth playing, and I’m excited to see what this studio makes next.

Never played a Rhythm game before (aside from a little of Beat Saber and the original game), so I was sceptical of buying the full game.

Then, I saw it had a demo. Played it a bit, and the game seemed pretty fun, so I bought the full game. I really wish more games did demos like this.

I normally hate base building games, but surprising I enjoyed this demo. I'm exciting to see how the full game turns out

A fantastic program. I've tried several pixel art programs over the years, but none really compare. If your a beginner wanting to learn pixel art, you will not regret picking this up.

This is a strange game. It feels like a pre-alpha prototype that the dev got bored of making and just decided to publish. The type of game that should have been left to rot in the vast halls of steam, yet gained undue popularity as content creators picked it up.

It's not a bad game mind you, its just not that good.

That said, if your still interested, it's only £4. The game takes an hour to beat for the first time, so you can just refund it if you really wanted to.

A thoroughly disappointing game. It's like Firewatch but bad.

The actual gameplay is just walking around and solving a series of puzzle, which would be fine if the puzzles were good enough. I rarely got that "a-ha" moment, because every puzzle were extremely simple. The "hard" puzzles weren't actually difficult or complex, just obtuse. I did enjoy the final star puzzle, but it did not make up for the rest of them.

The movement is very slow, and ladders take an eternity to climb, which just makes it annoying to look around for clues. The visuals are fine.

The main problem is the plot. The games starts out quite mysterious and lovecraftian, but half way through the story it just stops being either. The game starts telling you exactly what is going on with no room for ambiguity, so the mystery just evaporates. The lovecraftian / mild horror elements also disappear as it's made abundantly clear that the player is under no threat whatsoever, and the things happening to the player are a good thing.

I bought this on sale for 4£ and I still think I wasted my money.
