I wanted to wait a bit longer before writing a review for this game, but honestly it's great and deserves all the attention it can get. Obvious Harry Potter influences aside, the narrative in Ikenfell is genuinely interesting and has a great hook to draw the player in. The music so far is fantastic, and the characters are memorable. Even though I only played an hour yesterday I keep looking forward to getting to play more.

The battle system is finicky, and I'm still too early to really be able to draw conclusions on it. I've heard that speed is probably the strongest stat in the game in terms of actually being able to act in battle, but also there are accessibility options that can help if you are having trouble. From what I've played it's great, but these are just things I've heard.

Honestly I think this game's quality is high enough to warrant a higher price tag, so getting it at the launch price of $17.99 USD is a steal. If the game remotely intrigues you, or you like RPG's I definitely recommend getting this game. It's well made and has a lot of charm.

A short game, but very interesting. The vibe and atmosphere of the game is great, and I was really hooked after my first run through. The idea of re-arranging runes to change your divinations results in some small but interesting puzzles, and although I managed to figure out the 'correct' sequences fairly quickly I could see people playing for an additional hour or two to see what all different endings and combinations of events are there in the game. It's cheap too, so I highly recommend it if you like science fiction narratives.

Neversong is a beautiful game with great themes of both melancholy and just downright strangeness, the kind that accompanies those long nightmares we all have and would rather soon forget. The game is indeed short, around 2-3 hours for one run and probably 5 if you do New Game+, but it's an enjoyable run and I would say it is worth the money.

The music and graphics are good, and almost all of the characters have great voice acting that really brings them to live. Bonus points for the voice for Dr. Smile, who genuinely creeped me out every time he spoke.

In terms of gameplay, it's a fairly tight platformer. I had some issues with some of the platforming: some of the jumps felt like it required a bit *too* much precision, and none of it was infuriating to the point of making me want to quit, but it is frustrating to see the solution and just not be able to execute the solution. Other than the occasional jump feeling too unforgiving, the game was great. I may go back in for the New Game+ run, it was fun enough to do so, but I would definitely recommend playing the game at least once.

I finished this game and was barely holding back tears. It has so much raw emotion and life in it that I think resonates with what a lot of people feel in their day to day lives, the idea of figuring out who you are and having the determination to be who you want to be. This is definitely one of if not the best game I've played this year, and it's going to be one of my favorite of all time. The music, art, gameplay, everything flows together directly into the story to make it an incredible experience I can't recommend enough.

And Greg, you and your team did and amazing job. Can't wait to experience your next project :)

A short but entertaining game. The puzzle designs come off fairly clever, but not difficult enough to where you are likely to need a guide online. If you enjoy puzzle games with a side of Orwellian-dystopian atmosphere, then this game will be well worth your $2.99!

First off, I have to say this: if you don't like puzzles and story driven adventures, don't pick up this piece. It is an amazing game, but I'm sure many people wouldn't like it. Now then, onto the review.

As many other places will tell you, Broken Age is a puzzle/adventure game telling the story of two characters: a girl named Vella, chosed to be an offering to the monster Mog'Chatra, and Shay, a boy who lives on an overprotective ship and just craves a real adventure. The game allows you to jump between either story at any given time, and honestly, both are highly entertaining. The puzzles the game contains often require a very creative mind, or simply dragging everything in your inventory to see if there is a use for it. Many of the characters are also extremely witty, with many references to popular stereotypes (hint: hipster woodsman). All in all, Broken Age provides a good experience, with the glorious art, engaging puzzles, and fun dialogue. Personally, I can't wait for Act 2 to be released.

Pros:
Amazing Art Style
Good Puzzles
Intertwining Stories
Engaging Characters

Cons:
Possibly Too Short For Price
Long Wait For Act 2
