Absolutely amazing game. Persona 5 Royal was my introduction to the franchise, but I enjoyed this game even more, which was not what I was expecting.

If you compare it to P5R on the surface level, the gameplay seems inferior. Dungeons are procedurally generated (like Mementos), there's no baton pass, no gun skills, and the battle UI isn't as nice. That might sound bad, but I got used to it after a few floors in the first dungeon, and it ultimately didn't affect my enjoyment of the game. On the plus side, this game didn't have any bs bosses (*cough* Okumura *cough*). Although, I do prefer the Shuffle Time mechanic in this game to shadow negotiation in P5. Obtaining new Personas is no longer a guessing game, and trying to get sweep bonuses at every opportunity is kind of addicting.

The graphics are also significantly inferior to P5R, but that's just because the base game was released on the PS2, which is more than two decades old at this point. Again, it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

What really sold this game for me was the story, more specifically, the setting and characters. Inaba is the perfect setting for this game. The small town environment allows the characters to more easily develop bonds with each other in a way that feels genuine and organic. I really enjoyed all of the social links in this game and overall prefer them to those in P5.

Also, the soundtrack. P5 set the bar extremely high, so I thought it couldn't get any better. But it did. The only thing is that it's not as extensive as P5's, so it's not as varied. I swear, "Like a dream come true" plays for at least a quarter of the scenes in the game.

My only real complaint about this game? It ends.

I was saving $60 for BF 2042. Got this instead. No regrets.

They don't make games like this anymore. Like really, they don't. RIP to the stealth genre.

Yeah, this game is pretty good.

This game is just damn fun! But if you don't like dying alot, maybe this isn't for you.
In the game, you are basically the captain of a starship. You travel through the universe with your FTL drive, exploring the area while also defeating enemy ships. As captain, you also have to make decisions. Should I defend this post? Should I attack this ship? etc... During your first times playing through, you'll get demolished pretty quickly, but later you'll figure out strategies to help you through the game. So, um... yeah.

TL;DR
Fun Starship Captain Simulator
