So regular family banter is happening, and they're joking about me being a health freak whatever, and asking my wife (hopefully jokingly) how she puts up with me, and my wife is joining in on the humor. But here's what upset me. My mom tells me to go get my wife a soda (first off it was WW3 when I dared ask my wife to get me something to drink at a family gathering, but that's a different discussion). They know how I feel about soda and they didn't even have the decency to have soda with real cane sugar in it. It was made with high fructose corn syrup, and they know how much I'm against that stuff. They all start demanding I get up and get her a soda, they know what they're doing.
