A great terraria-harvest moon hybrid that I found myself addicted to for quite awhile.

Pros: Stardew Valley has a lot to do and it's easy to get lost in the game for hours. This include farming, fishing, foraging, crafting, terraria-like dungeon crawling and interacting with the town's people as well who are a colorful group. It's a great casual game and I love it for the time management aspect and of course the waifus/husbando. I recommend this game for just about everyone especially if you enjoy harvest moon games or terraria or any games of the like.

Cons: The only bad part of the game is the late game, where you established your farm and are married. At that stage of the game there's not really anything new to do other than try to aim for achievements and rake in money. Events repeat and theres rarely any new dialogue. Dispite that I found the whole game to be enjoyable.

For me a solid 4/5. Addicting farm sim and love that they added the dungeon crawling. A colorful group for the social sim aspect but there are some weak characters that don't add much. Thoroughly enjoyable even during the late-game grind. I recommend it a lot!

Got it from a "hidden gems" bundle and thats what it is, a very dirty gem in the rough. It's a VERY light harvest moon clone. There's not a lot to do compared to harvest moon but it offers just enough content for me to pour 20 hours into marrying a girl and settling down... and that's it. There was a decent sense of progression and reward for me to keep playing which kept me going until my wedding day but after that I stopped dead. Those looking for a quality harvest moon game should look elsewhere. If however you're willing to throw away a couple of bucks for a more smaller version might want to consider you checking this game out.

As you may guess from the title, the game is about you trying to get love by farming. If only it was this easy... and that's basically the whole story. (the story setup is that you broke up with your ex and now you're going to find love in the farmland.) There are events and npc dialogue but apart from that there isn't a driving plot.

Our love will grow boils down to time management. You grow crops, sell them, and upgrade tools to make more money. You raise animals to help your profit as well. You also use your crops and animal products to cook or make gifts and give them to girls and win them over. Fishing and mining also tie into the game in similar ways as well. There is a lack of customization as your farm is already laid out and you cannot place stuff where you want. The overall game mechanics is average and a bit dull at some stages especially the late game where you need to continually fish for rare pearls which you need gain access to a boat which allows you to get materials required for your wedding. The game had a clear sense of progression however and the reward is getting closer to be MARRIED to a beautiful pixel girl which allowed me to continue. I have to admit that if it wasn't for that, I would have stopped sooner.

The girls as well as the townfolk have little dialogue. However there was just enough dialogue that you get a sense of what type of girl she is and allows you to choose a girl. There is little interaction other than gift giving but it's nice to be praised for knowing my girl likes pizza. Gift giving is guess and check, with some items liked and some hated. The other npc's aren't as interesting as the girls and offer little to the overall game.

There are several bugs and design flaws that take a way from the experience. Such as putting a quit option in the menu without a confirm to quit which makes for easy accidental exit. You also lose your extra ore when smelting if you do not have enough to make the next bar of gold/iron etc. The overworld music isn't good either and I turned it off most of the time.

They only thing that got me through this game was getting married and the payoff was minimal. Although you can keep playing, there are little things that can happen after that. You no longer get events so you're basically just playing to hoard money. Overall I give it a 3/5. It offers a structured progression and reward but lacks in getting a lot of "fun" out of it. The waifu's are a plus though because they're pretty cute. For $5 though, it's a good deal. If you have the money though, stardew valley is a better investment as a $15 game.

Clannad was and still is one of the best visual novels even after 10+ years since its original release. Clannad blends a fun slice of life school setting with emotional drama and romance. Combined with a stellar soundtrack and pretty CG this makes the formula for a great game and a lot of tears. Those looking to only complete a couple of arcs might see that the high price isn't justified and should wait for a sale as I don't see 8 hours of gameplay is worth. Those who are commited to reading everything the game has to offer will be rewarded with one of best stories ever written with about 100 hours of content.

Clannad is about Tomoya Okazaki, (or whoever you name the MC) a teenage boy who is struggling to find meaning in his life with his high school days slowy disappearing. One day on his way to school, he meets a strange girl, Nagisa. He sees her attempting to motivate herself to go to school and keep moving through life as well as talking to herself, asking herself how to move forward when everything changes. Tomoya befriends her and the visual novel revolves around Tomoya and his adventures with him and his friends in this slice of life novel. I really don't want to spoil anything and recommend you play if without any spoilers. If you didn't watch the anime I highly recommend playing this first and then watch the anime after.

Clannad has one of the best original soundtracks ever, beautiful art and CG, and one of the bests characters and stories for a game. If you're looking for a waifu game you'll like this game, but the game gets more deep than that after multiple arcs and playthroughs. Each main arc generally revolves around a girl and each arc has it's own story and not a variation of the same story. You can pour about 100+ hours into this game just to experience every arc and every arc is different with different characters focused on and the main plot and driving action being different. This is almost like 10 novels in one, so there replay value after you finish an arc is huge. I recommend this for anyone looking for a visual novel or want to start reading visual novels

-The characters are extremely lively and unique. From your best friend, to the the boys dorm manager. Most of the characters you will end up liking by the time their arc is over. Some of the character arcs are lively fun and full of laughter and some will ultimately make you sob. The overall story is beautiful and I think everyone should experience every arc including the After Story arc which is unlocked after finishing every arc. Even after finishing the main After Story, you'll need to play it a couple more times. And every time you do you'll need more tissues.

-Gameplay is you basic visual novel gameplay. There are very few interactables and even those are simple. You get to make A LOT of choices though. These choices aren't your typical go hang out with waifu B to end up with her in the end. The choices you make impact the game a lot and some arcs require specific actions to complete and you might get a "bad ending" as a result which might turn people off. I recommend a guide if you get stuck because it'll be fustrating to get "bad endings." But try to play the game without spoilers. If you watched the anime then go ahead and use a guide. The anime grazed through the arcs pretty fast so there's still a lot unexplored content for you to go through even though you know the main plot. At it's best, you're laughing at all the shananigans and hi-jinks you and you're friends get into. You'll also be crying because the writing allows you to connect with almost all of the characters and you'll generally feel for them. At it's worst which is rare, you'll be reading long passages where nothing significant is happening or you're reading over a passage you already read. (Skip previously read text feature, helps a bit with this) Overall, reading this novel is enjoyable and I found myself changing who's my favorite girl each time I finish an arc.

-The music sets the tone for the game very well. Each track sets the mood of the situation almost perfectly and it intensifies the experience. Clannad is has one of the best OST in video games and is up there with TWEWY and Persona 4

Clannad changed my life. I got into visual novels when I was about in middle school and this novel helped me find meaning in life. I recommend this novel to anyone who was like me, who went to a new school and didn't know anyone and anyone who struggles to find a reason to keep going or don't know what they're going to do with their life. I generally recommend this game to everyone. I gaurentee it will affect your life in some small way.

Overall I give this game a 10/10. The beautiful music and CG along with a well written story make this one of the best visual novels ever.

This is how minecraft should be. Survival games are some of my favorite games. Any game where you have to ration your resources and constantly look for more as well as survive against enemies is great for me. Don't Starve drops you into an unforgiving environment and forces you to scavenge for resources and food to survive. You'll need to make tools to harvest key resources, keep a fire running at night or a mysterious beast will attack you, and be prepared to fight beasts and tree men. Oh and Don't Starve. Great survival game. Each time I play I learn new strategies to survive and manage to live longer than the last time. Great game, great price, great value. I personally prefer this over minecraft.

I beat this game in under 5 hours and got it for $60 for PS3 (it included a key for a PC version too). I regret buying it for 60 but i do not regret playing. Great puzzles and great characters. Fun multiplayer puzzles if you got a buddy. Everyone should play portal. (for less than 20$)

Great shooter. Though the survival element that I enjoyed from the first two games are not there anymore, I still enjoyed the game. I beat it in about 10 hours more or less. This is a great shooter. It's fun combining your vigors and weapons to deal out massive damage to your enemies. The story is good but feels absent near the middle and the story felt rushed at the end. The game is more linear this time around as well. The gameplay is well done though and I would hands down call this the best shooter of 2013. Loved Booker and Elizabeth and columbia was beautiful (when it's not being blown to pieces by you or the other factions which is most of the game) At it's current price of 30$ it's worth picking up this great game.

A very rewarding game. This game rewards those who are patient and are able to study the enemy. You will die... a lot. The combat is straight from demons souls with little tweaks on items and magic. The gameplay is great. Enemies are smart but fair and combat is straight-forward. Boss battles are on a huge scale and when you finally figure out a strategy and grind enough to defeat them you'll feel like you just defeated the heavy-weight champ. The game does have its downs. Graphics aren't too good and the multiplayer could be done better with better servers. The multiplayer element is good though with co-op when you need it and PvP when you just wanna kill someone and ruin their day. The game is difficult and it doesn't really tell you exactly where to go leaving you to figure out where to go next and which areas can you tackle without dying at your current level. Don't be expecting a great script either though the lore is interesting. Great game and worth the price tag though you might want to buy it on sale if you feel like you're going to rage after you've died several times to the same boss.

Fun poker game with funny idle chat. You'll probably get annoyed once you hear all the dialogue but you'll probably get all the TF2 unlocks before it gets stale. There are unlockables for the game but it's no worth your time. The poker gameplay isn't anything to boast about and the AI can get predictable sometimes. It's a fun poker game and for the cheap price it's worth a look.

Cute and fun game. The game is about a girl whose father is gone and left his huge debt onto her. She must now open a item shop to pay for his debt. Basically you buy items from the guild which is worth around 80% of the true price. You then sell it at your shop at around 130% the true price. You do this every week until you pay your debt off. There is also a fluctuation of prices like the stock market so it is best to buy stuff that are low and then wait for the prices to normalize and sell them. You can also craft items by getting materials. You get materials by hiring a hero to enter a dungeon with you and at this point in the game, it is a like a dungeon crawler where you control the hero instead to defeat enemies and bosses to get ingredients as well as loot for your shop. You will do this for about a month in-game time. It is very challenging to beat the game in one run because the debt you are required to pay each week increases very quickly from 8,000 to 500,000 which is the 5th or 6th week. It is very possible to do this but you must manage your time and play the "stock market" carefully. If you fail, don't worry about it. You will continue from the first day with all your stuff you obtained (minus your money) and attempt to play through the game again like a New Game+. It's a very fun game even though i beat it in 5 hours in my first go. (Estimated 20 hrs of gameplay) The shop mechanic is unique and the dungeon crawling is fun. There isn't much to do after you beat the game except start over or go for the timeless mode where you play just to amass a lot of gold. Overall its a good game 7.5/10
