Portal 2 is one of two games that I consider to be 100% perfect (the only other one being RCT2). The story is well paced and engaging, the mechanics are tight and unique, and the puzzles are always challenging without being frustrating. Portal 2 is a real classic.

TL:DR - Rituals is low-budget MYST.

Interesting indie puzzle-adventure game. Puzzles are challenging without being too difficult, although the aligator one and the last one took me a while to figure out. The game doesn't really give you much indication as to whether you are on the right path to solving a puzzle, which can be good and bad. The story is interesting, but not terribly complex. Overall, the game isn't bad, but its really small and obviously made by a small developer with a small budget. But the price reflects this "smallness", so I can't NOT recommend it. I would like to see this developer's sophomore effort if they make one.

What Remains of Edith Finch is an odd game. Consequently, it is rather diffucult to write a review for it, although it obviously deserves one. I have never played a game that tells a tale quite like Edith Finch does, and I can almost guaruntee you haven't either. This game hits themes of mortality, mystery, curses, superstition, and the paranormal. all while telling a very human-relatable tale. Edith Finch is a perfect example of a "walking simulator" done right, and is the video game equivalent of a page turning cult classic.

It's very nice.

The game is absolutely breathtaking. The art style is very weathered and homey. My favorite thing about the game was the windows. The entire experience took me an hour, and that's if you REALLY take your time. I think Leaving Lyndow is a very directed game. It knows what it wants to say, and it gets in and gets out quick, but leaves you time to linger.

Imagine if you took the feeling of leaving Pallet town for the first time, and stretched it out for an hour while adding an extra gallon of class and art. That's Leaving Lyndow. I think if Eastshade is able to improve upon Leaving Lyndow in even a small way, it will turn out to be a rather good game.

I think the art, music, detail, pacing, and design are all exceptionally well done, and very impressive. I think the character design is kinda creepy, but very homely. I think if the story aspect had half of the depth that the art and design had, it would be a very compelling title, even at its brief length.

I think where Eastshade could benefit most going forward is by having a dedicated writer as well as another programmer and some more play-testers. Leaving Lyndow is a very nice, small scale "Art" game. And that's good, but adding more "game" while keeping the same art will help the next game sell tremendously well.

So should you buy? I think Leaving Lyndow fits very nicely into the $4.99 price range. And its actually only $3.99 so, yeah. Its not much, but whats there is definitely worth it.

Factorio is THE game for OCD management/building sim people. Its highly addictive, and has been spreading around my campus like wildfire. It is worse than Reddit as far as a productivity killer. This game never fails to turn what I think is 30 minutes into 5 hours... I sometimes forget to blink. Its great fun, but just be warned.

Life is Emotionally Taxing

I was angry at the developers for a long time after finishing Life is Strange, and that is a fantastic feeling for a game dev to evoke in a game. LiS is now one of my all time FAVORITE games. Is it perfect? No...its damn near close though. This game is beautiful in its own special, slightly twisted way. I can't say anything else because this game is the best going in COMPLETELY BLIND. You need to know what you are signing up for going in though. Life is Strange can get pretty intense. Get yourself some tissues, and go through it with an open heart.

P.S. - The Soundtrack for this game is the best one I've ever heard. Yes its even better than [That Game you're thinking of].

I played it through in 5 hours. Then watched 2 other youtubers play it, even though I knew what was going to happen. Such an amazing game. It unfortunately has barely any replay value, but thats what you get with story driven games. I'm not the kind to rewatch movies or re read books unless they're really good, but I can say I've seen/played the entire story 3 distinct times. Best game I've played since "The Beginner's Guide." I want more Firewatch! I'd even want some DLC! But in all seriousness, what is next for Campo Santo?

This game is brilliant. Why? You just have to play it trust me. 10 out of 10. Very high replay value. Try to find all the endings. Mechanics are easy to understand. Narrative humor. Just buy it. It's not just a game, it's art.
