I actually love this game for what it is. If your expectations are higher, probably just let some time pass~ <3

Defines the standard for platform fighter. Indie Platinum. 10/10 Wish there were bigger interest in the genre as it's easily the most fun a fighting game gets.

Early Access Review
Edit: Didn't want to give a score before, but for sure 10/10. S Tier gaming right here 100% no exaggeration. The trailer is a literal RUSE. Which is a beautiful thing.

Woooahhhh!! OwO

This game has hints of everything you'd ever want in an arpg roguelike, within its graphical paradigm of course. (Multiplayer, thank the heavens, and more content than I was anticipating for sure.)

It doesn't look like a grandiose experience from the steam page, you're just going to have to trust, because I don't want a spoil a dang thing.

I'm eager to give this an amazing review, because there's so many creative, fascinating, interesting, and awesome things going on. However, some things really HAVE to change, don't glaze over and feel like your idea was invalidated, PLEASE, hear me out so we can get to 10/10 within the game's paradigm.

Quickly want to dump everything that is top notch into a list:
-The lore is short, sweet, does its job, and lets you get exploring the game itself quickly.
-Audio design (kinda gross sometimes but it fits the theme and does its job very well).
-OST is really unique and deserves an applause.
-World is fascinating!
-Cool diverse roster of possible characters, especially love Mousel, especially hate Uggsel...
-It's hard in a good way (Hard enough to excuse removing awful and arbitrary delivery events).
-It feels like you're dreaming that you're playing a video game, this is a VERY SPECIAL AND VERY UNIQUE artistic achievement.

And now...
The Elephants Up In Here:
Just two major things and a third thing that's already on every indie developer's mind and is probably annoying to hear.

1. WASD + Mouse controls. I don't care what rationalization there is to try to limit players to a terrible control scheme or a gamepad, but analog sticks are clumsy pieces of crap, I have a working neurological system and want clean inputs. It feels great in Odinfall, Nuclear Throne, and other games as an easy standard. It would feel awfully great here as well.

2. Tickets? Oogabooga? Stupid Lunch delivery??? NOBODY is happy doing the equivalent of escort quests every single level, I know, Spelunky did it, it was the worst aspect of the entire game, it's not fun at ALL, and almost every single stage here has the option. If there's an option I want to do it at least sometimes, but this is the definition of anti-fun, every time I choose to do it, the obstacle is entirely unenjoyable and don't feel rewarded(Lose-Lose). Carry thing, can't fight enemy, set down thing, fight enemy, pick up thing, on repeat. Alternative: Run with thing, lose playthrough...
Maybe if it was once a blue moon, not an aspect of the general gameplay, and even then I'd be unhappy to see it as my random event of sorts and so would everybody else. :(

3. This is the annoying one. Online co-op would be cool, probably already on your mind and probably not realistic in the slightest right now. Not really required. But those others are serious contenders for a refund instead of the 10/10 I think the project deserves.

I know, the whole thing was annoying, don't worry, I'm self aware of the entitled and sassy attitude.
I do apologize sincerely to any hard working developers, reading my reviews, ever.
With that said, you take my obnoxious advice? Way more appreciable video gaming experience.

Almost never actually funny, yucky inconsistent digital narration voice, excruciatingly simple (BORING), you'll keep telling yourself it's going to eventually blossom, it doesn't. Don't fall for it, this is a pump and dump.

It's uncomfortable to have someone air out their weird dirty relationship laundry in front of everyone, while charging money for it. You're also advertising your twitch, where you hope to accumulate more revenue seemingly from a community formed out of people who pity, instead of appreciate you.

None of the reviewers have ever played a game before or are facing the pressure of trying to be nice to someone who is begging instead of passionately working, and also watching them on their streams over their shoulders.

You bring up the bond that wasn't meant to be, on repeat, throughout the entire game, and make it a part of the ending as well as in the developmental foundation. VERY awkward, defining cringe and a lack of resilience.

Try to look at the project as a parallel to the poetry that stems from people's suffering.
Even a beautiful song abstractly conceals the tale of their painful life experiences.

Imagine the lyrics of a song being a simple chant "pity me, pity me, I can't get over anything~ pity me, pity me, I'd really like some money now~" That's where we're at in terms of quality, art, character, and believing this is better than the free to play titles available today.

Ha-ha $4.20 Ha-ha

P.S. If this review seems harsh consider that I've crawled from the depths of Hell to be alive today, and you've just wasted an hour and a half of my precious life. You thought your puns were worth my time and money, but I've had more fun writing this review than a second spent on your game.

This review is satire, sort of like the title I refunded just after writing it. But seriously, don't sell this title, make it free to play and make a real game. I believe in you, if you're going to grow from your suffering, then this review will scorch the back of your mind, and if it does, you will forge a new self in that flame. I hope to see a game from that new self in our futures that can inspire true awe. Until then~

((( Jokes aside, this game just isn't a good time investment for anyone who wants to grow around the shooter genre, there's no way to creatively push your limits, it has no schema material and plays extremely casually. The reward is the junk you collect, which seems to activate some extremely unconscious neurons for people, enough to camp exit or spawn in the name of. Read on for entertainment purposes only. )))

I love Embark so much. The Finals was an absolute masterpiece.

However, this game is genuinely really basic, boring, and only appeals to people who aren't conscious enough to question where their dopamine is even coming from.

Takes -ZERO- skill to kill another player, like gun laws in real life, if you shoot first they have literally no chance to retaliate, which is like really fun if you can't get frags in other games, I'm assuming this is the appeal to the majority of the player base.

Karma system that adds to the game? Nah. Shoot in back is free victory by design, go camp some exits, or even spawns, get rewarded for being the talented raider you are!

Want to put some clips online to feel like an adequate gamer and like you're a part of the latest buzz? Now's your moment, non-gamers!
(Hey everyone it's your favorite streaaammmerrr please res me for boring RP time!!!)

The Arc AI adapts, but you're a human???
So unless you're one of the people who thinks this game is a meaningful use of your time, you will outplay the bots with ZERO caloric expenditure.

I don't know of any talented lifeforms that feel like Arc Raiders is a valid use of their time, but it's a great role player's battlefield for people who can't cook.

This is my contrarian review, if you don't see what I see, it's because you live with a rose tinted noose around your neck and live in your fantasy world that inevitably burns down with you inside of it.
Good for you, luke warm IQ pieces of moss. I expect a more conscious design and definitely don't care that you're happy eating kibble.

Mechanically it's a decent 8/10
In application with all things in mind, it comes in around 3.5/10

Something along the lines of when you think about the game, you feel unhappy instead of excited, and so don't bother opening it anymore.

ALRIGHT, ENJOY YOUR DRY DOGFOOD !!

I actually worship this game as a concept, an effort, an art, a game. It's a genuine 10/10, respect it for what it is. The lore is underneath the surface and relates to their other game Arc Raiders, look closely and appreciate these projects! <3

Early Access Review
The multiplayer works fine, played from USA connected to Sweden and we had no connection issues at all.
So now onto the details:
Surprisingly good music
Challenging
Multiplayer (HUUUGE!!) Patapon-like (cheaper, deeper mechanics, more challenging if you choose advanced and not modern controls)
Dungeon-crawler elements like gear/upgrades/units/random stats/bonus rolls/crafting
Different characters with different flavors of gameplay (unit types/specials/passives/etc)
Cute aesthetic
Rogue elements make each run exciting and different

Dangerously close to 10/10, needs to be lifted from Early Access into the Heavens where it's absolutely going. <3
