After over 15 years of development, Black Mesa has finally released it's final chapters, and after playing through them it is clear that all the time was worth it. The terrestrial chapters of the game are a clear improvement from the original, with updated designs that make the game more enjoyable and fair. These updates along with the improved graphics make the game good, but Xen is really where it shines. The world of Xen in Black Mesa is stunning compared to it's original counterpart, and includes fully new levels that I consider to be some of the best in any FPS. While there are still a few annoying bugs, the game works well overall, and I can't wait to replay it all once the final product is finished. 6/7

This game is a classic and has aged generally well, but has a problem in how long it takes to get from place to place. This becomes especially evident when pieces of puzzles are scattered across the islands and you have to take tons of time to find them all. If it got the RealMyst treatment, the game would improve dramatically. Still a fun puzzle game. 3/5

The story becomes overcomplicated and obnoxious very quickly. The world presented was interesting at first but over time I felt less and less inclined to continue exploring as the game went on. In the end couldn't even bother to get close to finishing. 2/5

Haven't had this much fun with friends since Human Fall Flat. 4/5

As good as classic metroid although the story it gives is somewhat subpar. 3/5

My first point and click adventure game since my childhood. Lives up to the classics by providing an engaging story with complex puzzles that are never so hard you have to look up directions. 4/5
