Until Dawn is a game that is very story driven and narrative focused. The atmosphere is great and the acting is as well. The actors did a great job at portraying these characters. The face motion capture was spot on. Looks pretty much like the real people. The horror aspect is there and there are moments that do seem to have you immersed. While the jump scare's do seem to be overplayed in mostly every type of media, it does seem to get you at times. The butterfly effect aspect of the game, where choices matter is great. This leaves a lot of room for replay value. The story is decent, but sadly, I did kind of figure out one aspect of the story before it was revealed. Performance wise, the game is okay. There needs a little bit of work. It runs smooth for the most part, but there are traversal stutters at times. It also seems to drop frames or stutter after inspecting any item. One major issue with the game is the controls and camera angles, it's a little wonky. The game is definitely fun though and will keep you immersed. Not sure if it's worth full price, but definitely on a sale.

Capcom released another game that is, well, not Resident Evil. Nothing about this game is Resident Evil. This game's enemies are lycans and vampires. Not sure how this fits into Resident Evil but according to Capcom it does. The game's performance is pretty decent for the most part. You will encounter some micro-stuttering when entering new areas or when things load from time to time. The atmosphere is not really there for me. It's like they tried to make this resemble the mansion in Resident Evil 1 and the crappy village in Resident Evil 4 but failed horribly. The game itself looks beautiful in terms of graphics but this first person aspect just ruins it. They're trying too hard to be a horror walking sim than a third person Resident Evil game about zombies. The dialogue is horrible but the actors somehow did a great job. Not a fan of the feminist dialogue being called a stupid man thing every 10 minutes and how they hate stupid men from the daughters. The detail in these characters and enemies look great graphically but it's almost laughable that I'm playing a Resident Evil game about vampires and werewolves. Not sure what's with these constant close up face shots either. Am I suppose to be afraid? Am I suppose to think it's cool? Oh and I guess all you need to do is pour some med liquid to somehow re-attach your severed hand. The shooting mechanics in this game are horrible. It's like I'm shooting with a wet noodle. Even the gunshot sound effects sound like it's low budget or something. The story is also bland and boring. Is the game fun? Sure, but it's not Resident Evil. If you didn't tell me this was Resident Evil I would have never even knew. You could have slapped on a whole different name and title and no one would even know. Just because they stamped the Resident Evil name on it, doesn't make it so.

The game does nothing but freeze and hitch either due to network lag or performance in general on the Xbox Series X. Every second game there's a network desync error. The PC version runs a little better and the network errors aren't as bad. They're still there though, just not as frequent. It's also pay to win. The micro-transactions in this game are pretty predatory. Everything is locked behind a paywall. Progression is also very slow. You don't even get XP for basic matches. You have to do their daily and weekly challenges, which basically means once you're done those. Why continue playing? The game also has no voice or text chat. It's an okay game and can be fun, if you don't mind playing Super Smash Bros from wish.

HellDivers 2 is a game that is fun, fast paced and great with friends. Even solo it can be fun if you meet the right people. The pricing isn't so bad and it's better than other prices from AAA publishers and developers. The hordes of bugs look good and they all offer something unique about them. The game is fun but can be repetitive at times. The shooting mechanics and strategems are great. I do enjoy the game but there are some issues with it. Graphically the game doesn't appear that high end or that demanding. Yet for some reason this game struggles to maintain 70 fps during intense situations on higher difficulty levels. This is with a 12700k and a 3080. Makes no sense considering this engine was basically made in 2018. Other's have complained as well with even higher specs than me about performance. The game has a lot of bugs at this price point as well. Such as full screen never being full screen when you launch the game for the first time. You constantly have to ALT TAB to fix it but alt tabbing is an eye sore and basically freezes/hitches your PC when doing so. Getting stuck on rocks. Enemy AI literally standing there doing nothing at times. Some teammates will spawn in not being fully rendered with only their gear floating. Jumping can be annoying at times and can literally kill you, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Random freezes and crashes. Your character getting stuck in the cryo pad. Just given these negative aspects. I don't recommended this game due to it's performance and it's outdated unsupported engine.

The Callisto Protocol is a game with an amazing story, great acting and awesome graphics. The game play is fun and if you've been craving for a Dead Space type of game then this will for sure fill that void. It's just too bad this game is ruined by being plagued with frame drops, screen stutters, micro stutters and general performance issues (even with shader compilation). I can say it at least runs better than that Stutter Space Remake. Another thing that seems to be an issue with this game is you're missing skins from the Deluxe Edition, even though it's stated you receive them upon purchasing. You don't. It's bugged and Krapton hasn't said a word about fixing it. The game is dead in terms of support, so buyer beware. If it ran better and the publisher actually cared, I'd give it a positive.

When I first played New World's beta. I hated this game. Thought it was bare bones and lacked a lot of content. After about 2 years later I decided to give this game another try. So far I'm impressed and I'm liking the game. There are some issues here and there but it's a lot better compared to that awful beta they released. The world and it's atmosphere is fun and can be mesmerising at times. The combat is decent and fun, the only problem I have here is the weapon abilities can lack a little compared to other MMORPG's. Either way it's still pretty decent. There are some minor issues in terms of performance but nothing too major, at least for me. The quests can sometimes be repetitive but somehow still pulls you in to continue the grind. The crafting mechanics is good and gathering resources can actually be fun. If you were like me and didn't like New World during it's beta release, maybe think about giving it another try.

The Finals can be a fun fast paced game that is very immersive. What really kills this game though is the horrible anti-cheat, rampant cheaters and skill based match making. SBMM shouldn't exist in causal or quick play game modes. SBMM should only exist for ranked games. The game doesn't really favour solo queuing. I mean you can do it, but because of SBMM you go against people way out of your skill level for some reason. It must be broken just like their anti-cheat. The destruction in this game is nice, reminds me of Bad Company. Too bad the performance takes a pretty good hit when these destructions and explosions happen though. The game doesn't have great frame time graphs either and the performance is good for the most part but it does dip. There can also be tiny micro traversal stutters randomly sometimes. So much for UE5 getting rid of that eh? There are a lot of balancing issues and certain classes feel overpowered, such as the heavy class. Maybe once the game gets a better anti-cheat, gets rid of SBMM, balances the game and fixes performance. I'll give it a positive.

This is not Mortal Kombat.

Well, it's definitely not the Mortal Kombat I've known and loved. It resembles nothing to the originals or classics or just other iterations. The story is literally laughable at times. Such as when Madam Bo gets beat up. That scene made me burst out laughing. Same with the ice cube scene at the bar table. I guess you could say that's a good thing in a sense. But in other areas or aspects the story is just laughable and makes no sense. I'm not even that far and I'm already disliking the story and it's timeline. The voice acting is 50/50. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's not, depending on the actor or actress. Compared to previous titles the acting is obviously way better but since when was Mortal Kombat ever really taken seriously for their story? I miss the old MK9 voice actors.

Let's move on to the designs. They're bad. Every female character is basically ugly. Are they females? I can't even tell. The only exception here is Nitara and Sindel. The costumes don't even take damage. The female costumes are not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Since when did Mortal Kombat care about censorship? What happened to the old costumes for the females that made Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat? NRS and WB's last two iterations of this game has ruined this franchise in more ways than just the costumes. The last good Mortal Kombat in terms of female costume designs is MK9. The only good thing about the costume designs now is that there are variations and pallettes, that's about it.

Performance? Atrocious. Did they even bother to try this out? I highly doubt it. It's obviously a console port and it clearly shows. Terrible performance all around. 30 and 60 fps locks during certain animations such as x-rays. The game has terrible micro stuttering issues. Even when disabling E cores in the BIOS the game still micro stutters. Sure it helped a bit but wow. I can't believe anyone is actually praising this faulty product and it's horrible performance. Like they have the audacity to charge us 10 extra dollars for this. Why? Where's the justification? It's clearly not in terms of performance and or quality. Just browsing through the main menu is bad and stutters. Going from movie cut-scenes to actual game play looks horrible and stutters as well. Even the big fire dragon logo during invasions stutters. I'm so glad I didn't pay for this and received this as a gift.

Gameplay? Repetitive. The controls seem wonky and broken at times. Command inputs seem to be delayed or not registering at times. It's been like this in every Mortal Kombat game. Input delay and commands feel sluggish and broken and this is offline. It could also be the fact that I'm not use to it and haven't played MK in a long time. Sure the combat mechanics resemble the best Mortal Kombat game ever created which is 9 but this game is far from that masterpiece. Some characters seem lackluster compared to previous titles and some are just overpowered like Kenshi and Ashrah. I do however like the idea of Invasions. It's a nice new feature that I do seem to be enjoying. Online is still a joke and seems to have so much lag and delay in terms of inputs and during the character selection screen. Game doesn't even have an anti cheat and macro users exist. Where's cross play? Where are the rooms? Why did this get taken away? Is it because in every half baked console port you throw out on this platform, it's been broken? Why is there even a store? Way to try and squeeze every dime possible out of your fans. I'm slightly disappointed.

It also seems that QLOC can't port a game to save their lives. Considering every Mortal Kombat launched on this platform has been horrible.

This game offers nothing new compared to the other titles. Graphically it doesn't appear to look that much better than the previous titles as well. Cold War performs and plays better. MW2 feels clunky and wonky all for a 10$ increase. Gun play feels horrible and the entire game feels sluggish. It makes no sense. I don't understand how 3000 people can not produce a high quality functioning game. Tier one is horrible compared to Hardcore from Cold War. There are too many glitches for such a high price tag. Lobbies are glitched and show someone else's character. Everyone has your weapon in their hand as well. When checking your friends they're also glitched, it doesn't show their showcase operator or their weapon. Online and Offline is glitched. It constantly shows me offline even though I am online, making it hard to connect and join lobbies with friends. The gun screen is also bugged and is black when you first load in, until you swap your weapon back and forth. For a whopping price of 89.99 CAD I expect more in terms of performance. Price should equal quality but that is what MW2 completely lacks, as well as performance and functionality.

Terrible servers. Lag. Poor shader optimization. Crashes. Stutters. Graphical glitches. The works. Just a bad quality game. It's the same as Warzone 1. Nothing new has been done here, but at least Warzone 1 runs better. This Season 1 battle pass has the worst skins I have ever seen in a game. Graphically the game doesn't look better than the previous title. Guns have too much sway. Guns and game play can feel broken at times. TTK seems way off. No ability to disable cross play and disable aim assist is really off putting. I guess it's okay for console players to use legal aimbots against mouse and keyboard though. Cool, thanks. Skins from the previous title aren't accessible in this version. Which is a pure money grab. The only good thing about this game, is that it's free.
