still a great game even in the modern day. story is amazing and really did pave the way for games after it in the way it's told. gameplay is also great, the combat feels fluid and quick today still, even if the enemies aren't very reactive to your weapons. level design for the most part is good, although the second half of the game is a bit rougher around the edges than the first half. platforming is a bit frustrating too, but nothing too terrible.

looks fantastic with the new textures, assets, ray traced lighting, etc, but admittedly the performance is not very good, and it's certainly worse than portal rtx which was already quite taxing. still an enjoyable time overall playing through ravenholm and nova prospekt

has aged extremely well for a game from 2004 in terms of graphics. gameplay is fantastic, story is crazy and soundtrack goes hard as hell. i regret not playing this sooner

every aspect of this game is actually incredible. get it but try to know as little about the game as possible for the best experience.

this game is incredible. had it been released in, say, 1998 instead of 2018, we would probably talk about this game on the same level as others such as DOOM, Quake, and Half-Life. it's all thanks to an awesome combat system, really creative level design and killer soundtrack by andrew hulshult. and if you love the games mentioned above you'll love this game too.

this is DOOM alright. incredible combat system and an kick-ass soundtrack makes for easily one of the best games of the 2020s so far. also pretty good dlc if you're into that kind of thing.

this game perfectly revamps DOOM for the 21st century. killer combat, great level design and settings, graphics that still hold up to this day, and one of the best soundtracks in a game period, composed by the mastermind mick gordon - i'd highly suggest checking out his other works if you're a metal fan.
